I went in for a manufacturer recall to replace an airbag seat sensor on a 2020 Honda CRV. The service representative assured me this job should take about an hour and a half to two hours maximum, so I opted seat sensor on a 2020 Honda CRV. The service representative assured me this job should take about an hour and a half to two hours maximum, so I opted to wait for the repair. After an hour and a half, I checked in and was told the mechanic just needed another 15 minutes. At the two-hour mark—the maximum time I had been promised—I checked again, only to be told the mechanic was still working on another car. At that point, the service rep compared the situation to waiting at a doctor’s office, which I found to be ridiculous and unprofessional excuse. In the end, I waited a little over three hours for a job that should have been completed in an hour, and to make things worse, the bottom seat trim was not even installed properly—I had to fix it myself at home. What bothered me most was not the extra wait, but the lack of honesty. If I had been told upfront that they were understaffed or overbooked, I would have made other arrangements instead of wasting hours waiting. I will strongly consider taking my vehicle to another service shop next time in the hope of finding more straightforward and reliable service. More
