I've been taking my CR-V, with about 84k miles, to this dealership for over 10 years (ever since it was under different ownership) and was mostly satisfied. A few years ago, they recommended a timing belt dealership for over 10 years (ever since it was under different ownership) and was mostly satisfied. A few years ago, they recommended a timing belt replacement, even though this CRV has a timing chain, not a belt. At the time, I thought it was just an oversight. I recently took the car in for an oil change and tire rotation. During their inspection, they found a metal object in one of the tires and recommended a tire replacement since they said it could not be patched. I said I would take it somewhere else since I had a road hazard warranty. When picking up the car, I noticed the tire rotation had not been done (I had marked one of the wheels so I could confirm whether the rotation had been done). But yet, I had been charged for the rotation. They then took the car back to the shop and did the rotation. When I took the car to a tire shop to take care of the metal object, the shop found out it had not penetrated the tire tread and a repair was not necessary. The tire shop didn't charge me anything. My service advisor, Mike Gillespie, has always treated me fine and I ask for him when I take my car in for service. I think the problem was specifically with the shop. So, to summarize, Westshore Honda charged me (a long-time customer) for a tire rotation which had not been performed and recommended a tire replacement for a tire that did not need any repair. I'll be looking elsewhere for any future work on my CRV. More
