I did quite a bit of research online for the GMC Terrain - one of the dealerships that I saw online through Cars.com was Whitaker. Having never been to a Whitaker dealership I took a chance and sent an inq - one of the dealerships that I saw online through Cars.com was Whitaker. Having never been to a Whitaker dealership I took a chance and sent an inquiry. My past experience in sending inquiries is that you receive a ton of emails from the internet manager at a dealership with no details on the vehicle that you are looking at - just wanting you to come into the dealership to try to sell you. Mike Gaydos at Whitaker replied to my email very quickly and completely described the GMC Terrain that I had inquired about noting some features that I wasn't even aware was on the model. I then said I may be in the Forest Lake area that Saturday and he quickly responded that he would be in. When I arrived at the dealership which is over an hour from my home - Mike greeted me and showed me the vehicle that I had inquired about explaining all of the features. When the dealership ran the trade-in on my existing car - I felt it was a low price. I forget the name of the manager - but he was sitting right by Mike's desk and said that he would look it up and see what he thought. He showed me the screens for the dealer auctions, etc. - he wasn't hiding the screen as you see at a lot of places - he was very upfront. We discovered that they had not put in all of the features/options of my car and came back with a new price. They also explored both finance and lease options for me - and I decided to lease. I was very pleased with my experience which was absolutely no pressure, very friendly people and I felt I was dealt with very honestly and openly. When my 36 mos lease is up I would definitely return again. More

Bob is excellent in Finance..goes beyond just looking at the numbers!! ( He also has some great stories !!) We will be stopping in just to say Hi as we feel we have made some great friends !! More

Went to look at either a new or used vehicle at Whitaker GMC-Buick and ran into Dan Freeman. Dan was open and honest while helping my wife and myself. Doug is by far the friedliest and Honest manager I have come in contact with. Once we ran into Dan we came to understad why Whitaker is a first class dealership as this location operates and deals like the manager. We wrapped up our Purhase with Bob in finance who was open and honest. We were over an hour after close and he was patient and a joy to work with. We have been in a few times since we purchased our new Buick Lacrosse and all salesman have been terrific answering our questions. We look forward to many years of great service. More

I was in need of getting a vehicle with at least 3 rows of seating. I had gone to quite a few different dealerships and in fact was lied to repeatedly at one place. I then was told about Whitacker Buick of seating. I had gone to quite a few different dealerships and in fact was lied to repeatedly at one place. I then was told about Whitacker Buick GMC. I went up there to look and was treated like a real person and not just someone who was going to spend money. They asked me what I wanted and how much I could afford to spend. Dan took my kids and I on a test drive of a vehicle they had just gotten in and not even finished cleaning up yet. I fell in love with the car and told him I wanted it. Dan informed me it had not been through there shop yet to be checked out. Dan told me the tires were going to be replaced for sure. Dan called me on Monday to let me know it was in the shop and not only the tires were being replaced but also the rear brakes and rotors and the tie rod ends all needed to be done. Tuesday night my wife and kids and I went up to get the car. The financing guy named Bob took great care of us. He offered us some warranties which we took and still the price was where I told them it needed to be. I would recommend that anyone looking for a new or used vehicle to take a look at Whitacker Buick GMC in Forest Lake, Mn because they know how to take great care of there customers from beginning to end. Even more amazing that less than two weeks after that first conversation I got exactly what I was looking for, both in the vehicle and the great trade deal. I could not be more pleased with my experience. I have been a customer of this dealer for 10 years, first when it was Novak. The service department is just great, and this Buick is the second vehicle I have purchased here. Whitaker has a loyal customer here. I constantly hear "don't trade at a dealer, you'll get screwed."
