Let sales people not be overly pushy! I know it is the sales person's job to follow up and keep on potential customers, but for many of us being overly pushy just turns us away. My experience with this car purchase was with multiple dealerships reaching out to me because of a search I did on Consumer Reports. Because of my previous experiences working with Steve (we bought 2 cars from him), I knew I enjoyed White Bear Subaru. I am a loyal customer as long as I feel like I am not trying to be forced into something I don't want or have a bad experience for some other reason, so I will always look to WBS first when shopping. That being said, if I can find a better price and good experience elsewhere, I will, but I've never had a great experience with other dealers. The dealers are overly pushy and the amount of contact is ridiculous - 3 emails a day or more per person, per dealership, with calls coming in too. Whoa, back off! One dealership even had multiple sales people doing this. Nope, not going there. Matt was extremely responsive, and did follow up and keep in contact, but not to the extent of being obnoxious, like the other dealerships' salespeople. I had a great experience, and I think more salespeople should be more like Matt. You are lucky to have him. I would, and will, recommend him to anyone I know looking for a new car. More
