Good and Bad I used USAA car buying services which helped me get in contact with Katie Hassell. Katie was amazing and she helped me find exactly what I was lookin I used USAA car buying services which helped me get in contact with Katie Hassell. Katie was amazing and she helped me find exactly what I was looking for and at the price I was willing to pay. Based off the price Katie quoted me, the only additional negotiation I wanted to do, was I wanted my military $500 rebate jeep offers to military service members on top of the original quoted price from Katie. Once my family and I arrived at the dealership for my appointment, we were greeted by Trevon Gerideau. Trevon went above and beyond and demonstrated countless times his high level of professionalism and willingness to ensure we received great customer service. First off, I knew exactly what I wanted to pay based off the quote Katie provided me. All I wanted was the military $500 rebate added and I was ready to buy on the spot. I felt that was a fair deal based off my research and I felt like it was a win-win for both parties. However, I don’t think that was communicated to the muscle (Allen “Willie” Stewart) in the back. I believe Mr. Stewart is a criminal and he is out to scam in order to help his bottom line. I believe he tried two different scams on me. I can prove one, the other is only speculation. The first scam is the destination charge scam. When Mr. Stewart sat down with me to discuss prices, I noticed his price was $1,095 more than what Katie quoted me. When I said something to him, Mr. Stewart got very defensive and aggressive with me in front of my four year old daughter. Once I started adding the numbers up, I identified Mr. Stewart added a destination charge of $1,095. Destination charges are rolled up in the MSRP, we all know that. Every sticker in your lot has the destination charges accounted for in the MSRP. So why was that even an option for Mr. Stewart to add to the initial quote? Mr. Steward should not even be considering destination charges during negations. The second scam which is harder to prove but I believe it was there, it is the military $500 rebate scam. After I confronted Mr. Stewart about double charging me a destination charge, he came back with a final offer, which I accepted. Even though it was slightly more, it was close to what I wanted to pay. I asked Mr. Steward if my $500 rebate was added to that final quote twice and he said yes. After that, was very aggressive and adamant about receiving my Military LES. He even threaten not give me my car plates until I produced it. Mr. Steward left for the day before I had closed out with Matt Spence. Before I went into Matt Spence’s office, another sales manager walked up to me and asked if I was military. I said, “yes”, he said, “we forgot to add your military rebate, let me add that in before you sit down with Matt”. Of course, I’m now interested, so I started added numbers up again and quickly came to the conclusion that my $500 rebate was not added into the quote Mr. Steward shared with me. This is why I speculate he also tried to scam me my $500 rebate, however, I don’t have nor did I see the final quote of all the charges, so I can’t verify. All in all, not considering Mr. Stewards shenanigans, it was a great experience working with Katie Hassell, Trevon Gerideau, and Matt Spence. More

I was extremely heartbroken to lose my Jeep, as I was very attache A few weeks ago, I totaled my Jeep Wrangler in a bad accident in downtown Richmond. I was extremely heartbroken to lose my Jeep, as I was very attached to it. I came in to Whitten Brothers of Richmond upset, and not expecting to purchase a vehicle, but I did! Trey greeted me as I walked in and was extremely patient with me throughout the process. I test drove several different types Jeeps and then found an AMAZING deal on a 2015 Jeep Cherokee. I was completely turned off to the idea of buying anything but a Wrangler until I found this vehicle. It was a used car with very low miles, decked out with all the bells and whistles, and in my price range! I drove the car and knew immediately that I wanted to purchase it! Trey (Trevon Gerideau) was very knowledgable about all of the amenities the car included. What I enjoyed most about this experience was how patient Trey was with me. I am a very picky person and Trey found me a vehicle that had everything I wanted. Typically, I HATE shopping for cars as I feel most car salesmen are very pushy (and a lot of times push me right out of a good deal). Trey took excellent care of me, and made sure I went home a happy customer. His patience is what won me over! We had excellent conversation while completing the paperwork, as well! I have had my vehicle for several days now, and am falling more in love with it each day. (I think I might even like it better than my jacked up Wrangler!) ;) 10/10 I would recommend Trey at Whitten Brothers of Richmond! More

He throughly explained the features of the vehicle, as well as the benefits of buying from Whitten-- benefits that go beyond simply changing your oil or inspecting your car; e.g., the priority placed on customers, even after they have purchased a vehicle, and the commitment to excellence in servicing the vehicle and serving the client. Mark explained the benefits of additional options for purchase, but did not hard sell. he was upfornt and honest. I appreciate that. He took the time (after the dealership had closed) to walk my son through many of the vehicle's functions, and helped set the U-Connect without even being asked. This is was much welcomed as well. My son and I enjoyed dealing with Mark, and were happy to buy a vehicle from him. We look forward to future dealings with Mark and all the folks at Whitten Brothers. More
