I've written here before. I came in for an oil change the day after Thanksgiving. My oldest brother came along because he was interested in buying a Santa Fe. After sitting down with Jim, who had already sold me a Santa Fe in 2009 and my other brother an Elantra in 2011, my oldest brother got the price he wanted and bought a 2014 Santa Fe Sport. Jim was his usual courteous self. I even got a present from Jim for a 2nd referral, which I did not expect. Fast forward to Dec 28th. Out of the blue, I was in the market to replace my 2007 Pontiac G6 with 131k miles. I went to see Jim. Brought the wife and kids. I've liked the Sonata for some time, but never drove one. Jim grabbed the keys and we went for a drive. Liked it. Instead of getting the 2013 and getting a steal of a deal my wife and I fell in love with the red 2014 Sonata SE Turbo on the showroom floor. Jim knows the kind of guy I am. As soon as I told him to see what he could do on that car, we got a price better than expected and we took the car home. 4th vehicle within the family bought from Jim. Over the years I have spoken to other reps there as I have had basic service on the Santa Fe. The team at Wilkins feels like a family atmosphere. I have seen them grow. I have always seen customers smiling and their sales floor busy. I've never thought buying a car would be so much fun. I am curious who else I can help buy from Jim. I get a kick out of buying cars. When we went and did the paperwork, I got to meet Tom for the first time, he was cracking jokes with us and making us laugh. Overall, if you want a Hyundai, forget all the other dealers. Other dealers might have a bigger selection, but for being a smaller dealer, Wilkins is where you want to be. They care. They treat you like family, and best of all, I see the same people, whether it's service or sales for almost 5 years now. That kind of consistent tenure in the car industry at the same place is rare. Also the sales manager Ken Wagner was very instrumental in finalizing my deal. I walked in with low expectations on purchasing a car and was amazed at the time and attention Ken put into getting this deal done . TPMS (Tire Pressure Moniter System) light came on twice in last three days. Made an internet appointment at Wilkins dealership checkup. Show up on time, greet and meet by John. My husband Steve and I came in the other night with our daughter Dianna to purchase a car..Vito was the salesman helping us..I have never felt more comfortable at a dealership than I have with this one. Vito was so helpful,listened to what Dianna wanted and made the numbers work for a young 21 year old..Vito also explained how things worked in the car,set up her bluetooth with her,and answered any questions she had with complete patience ...She drove away in a beautiful Elantra...We were so impressed, we are now in the works with Vito on the purchase of a Sonata...each salesperson we dealt with at this dealership,down to the finance man,made us feel so comfortable...like family :) It was a wonderful experience !!!.. I bought a car from Wilkins about 7 months ago and was pleased with the process at the time, but assumed it was similar to experiences I would have somewhere else. When my fiancee's car stopped running this last week, we were trying to spend less money for a car that ran. We visited a couple of different dealerships, hoping to find something to meet our needs, but we couldn't find cars we felt like we could trust or people we wanted to work with. It was at that point that we decided - despite not finding anything in our ideal price range - to go back to Wilkins. We worked with Sarge Sakinovic last time and requested him again...only this time did we realize how lucky Wilkins is to have an employee like Sarge. He's a no-nonsense, no-pressure salesman whose care for his customers is admirable. He remembered each of us from 7 months ago and listened to what we wanted. Rather than trying to upsell us from the price range we gave, Sarge worked with us to make sure we understood our options and let us spend as much time as possible testing (and re-testing) cars. The way he treated us made us feel like members of the big Wilkins family; he made the car buying process fun. We also spent time talking about our financial options with Rich Sughero, the sales manager. Both Rich and Sarge appeared to do their jobs well; they didn't try to butter us up or play hardball with the prices. They listened to what we had to say, explained the dealership's position on the car, and worked with us to come up with a fair price. Just like when I bought my Altima last October, we left feeling like we got a great value on a 2011 Nissan Sentra. Hopefully we left a little profit in it for them as well. Both times I've worked with him, Tom Ballun turned the financial piece into a fast and stress-free process. He explained our options, provided several additional coverage plans (which he was fine with when we decided not to go with them), and put us at ease. We certainly haven't tried all the dealers out there, but both of our experiences with Wilkins will make sure we talk to them first the next time we (or anyone we know) are looking for a car. More
