He was not only concerned but went above and beyond with personal attention in the form of phone calls, pointing parts out to us in person, and a general sense of concern that took us from planning to never return to this dealership and for that matter never buy another Subaru, to recommending this dealership to friends and family. Our new car (2011 Forester)was quoted with an excellent no-hassle price that we were happy with accepting. There was no pressure at any time. Jim was helpful and responsive. Trade value was initially quoted low but negotiated price was reasonable with minimal cycling. Introduced to service department personnel. Explanation of vehicle features and new operations was thorough. Time to process entire transaction was consistent with most experiences (approx 3 hours). We researched the vehicle extensively. We did multiple comparisions across similar vehicles. We test drove the car and other cars. The Forester is an exceptional value. The SUV is #1 in Consumer Reports, has excellent reliability ratings, excellent customer feedback, excellent safety features, and nice trim choices and options. Our experience tells us the reports of the car are accurate. We researched price through several services and understood MSRP, Dealer Invoice, and true options cost. We could have probably pressed for some reductions in price. Admin fee ($600) and data dots ($250) could probably be negotiated if desired. Likewise, we could have tried to drive a higher trade-in. We essentially rationalized we were happy in the overall experience. We did take advantage of the current 2.9% financing. We are totally satisfied. We may have been able to cut a few more dollars from the overall price. The Forester can still be purchased as a buyer's market vehicle now. I expect this will end with a successful 2011 year for the brand. Yes, we will consider making Folger a part of future decisions on cars. We are very excited with owning the new Forester. More
This had to be by far the very best experience of buying an automobile I have ever had! Jim was very understanding of my situation with my credit and we talked about what kind of automobile I needed. He was rather prompt in calling me back if he was busy. He has to be one of the friendliest people I have ever worked with. I would recommend this dealership ANYONE even if it was out of the area! During the week and half that Jim worked with me, I did not have to wait very long to wait on anything including paperwork. He even let my roommate look at the car. I purchased a 2005 Nissan Altima! I LOVE IT!!!!! So does my roommate! Jim bent over backwards to make sure the deal was completed. He picked us up from where we dropped off my Dad's car so that we would have a way to the dealership and they even provided a loaner car for me to get to work so that the deal could be completed. This deal took a while longer because I had to go my hometown about an hour from here to get my Daddy to help with this deal. Their quality of work would have to be great--they had my very clean and all of paperwork was good and organized too. I had originally called about an automobile online and and Jim and I kept playing phone tag until he found me at the Kia dealership next door and my wonderful experience started there. The customer service was great and even one person that was not directly working with me spoke to me too! My price on my Nissan was just perfect! It was well beyond that I thought I would be paying a month. I am one happy customer and when I finish paying off the Nissan and drive it for several years after it is paid off, I will most definitely come back and purchase another automobile for Folger Subaru--this dealership is second to none! More

Had a very good experience at Folger Subaru on Independence in Charlotte, NC. Don and his team were timely and nice getting me my WRX at the price i wanted. I had a good experience with this salesman. This was my first time buying a car from a dealership, and I feel that the mentioned employee was indeed a low pressure salesman. He worked with me at least moderately with the price, and was easily accessible by phone. The only issue was the fact that there was a lack of negotiation upon face to face communication. This could be due to the fact that the price was already good, but I had hoped for a bit more of a break upon arrival at the dealership. This is a buyers economy, and if it were not for the fact that I truely wanted this make and model, I may have passed up the deal. Also the manager, whose name I do not recall, was very short and almost rude to my companion. He gave off the aura of the textbook definition of a sleazy car salesman. The rest of the staff was accommodating. More
Great Price, Good Communication with sales associate and overall good experience. Finance Manger Jay Muma was very knowable and easy to work with. The only negative is that I would have liked to know about the dealer fee upfront, Im know this is standard but since I do not buy cars daily the extra $700+ dollars as a little shocking. When I came in to look at cars, 12-14-2010 I knew I wanted to purchase a car. I had no idea I was going to purcahse one that day. I have now purchased 6 Subarus from Folger. It has alway been a pleasant experience. They work with you to make the deal you need to make. The last three cars I have purchased from them were all because of been a pleasant experience. They work with you to make the deal you need to make. Strangely Mike is the parts and service manager and not in sales but he's worked really have on all of these deals as well as helping me maintain my cars. I would recommend Folger to anyone and have sent several friends there to purchase their first Subaru! More
