Ford Edge AC We had an issue with the 2013 Edge Ac pumping out hot air on the left side and rear vents while the right side put out cold air. Windward Ford mechs found leaking line and o-rings. Some parts in stock, the line needed to be ordered. The car was returned an written up as fixed. At a later date the Service manager John notice an inaccuracy regarding the paperwork. John called and explained that he owed us the remaining work. Work was completed ASAP which was very appreciated. More
Poor Customer and Mechanic Service My headlights started to flicker on my 2003 Mercury Grand Marque, so I did some research and saw there was a recall addressing it. I called Windward F My headlights started to flicker on my 2003 Mercury Grand Marque, so I did some research and saw there was a recall addressing it. I called Windward Ford and scheduled an appointment for the recall. When I showed up they realized they don’t have the wiring harness in stock, and said they would call to schedule another appointment when it came in. When they brought my car around I noticed a panel on the passenger side floor board. The mechanic said they forgot to install it and to leave it there, so I did. When the part came in I dropped the car off again and they installed the wiring harness. I picked it up and drove it back to work. Later that night I went to turn on my headlights and noticed the headlights were still flickering. The mechanic failed to do a final test to check his work. I called Windward Ford to schedule another appointment to recheck the wiring. After I dropped it off they called me shortly after and said the wiring was good and if I wanted them to look any further they were going to charge me a diagnostic fee. I told them I would just pick it up. They called me 2 minutes later and said it could also be a faulty wiring harness and they would order a new one. When the new harness came in I dropped the car off a 4th time to have them re-install the harness. I also told them they never replaced that panel under the driver side dash, and they said they would look into it. When I picked the car up I drove back to work. When I pulled into my parking stall I heard a pop under the dash. I got out and looked under to find they never replaced the panel and they ran the wires next to the steering column, so when I turned the wheel it pulled one of the connections out. I also noticed they failed to used shrink tubes to cover some exposed wires. Overall, this was a horrible experience from the customer service acting like they didn’t have enough time to work on my car to the poor maintenance performed. More
First Time Using a Car Dealer I was in a situation where we were moving and couldn't bike to work from our new location, so I needed a vehicle fairly quickly but that was affordabl I was in a situation where we were moving and couldn't bike to work from our new location, so I needed a vehicle fairly quickly but that was affordable, dependable, and met my expected needs for the next few years. I searched online for most dealers on the island, checked the on-base resale lots, and looked at various types of vehicles and options. I contacted Windward Ford via their website about two used vehicles (a Fiesta and a Fusion) that were in my price range and in good quality. They contacted me almost immediately and I was able to go in to check out the vehicles in person. Up to this point, I had only ever bought cars off of family members, so this was my first dealership experience and it was excellent. Due to work on the house we were in, we were out with a dog and our two parrots and couldn't go back for a while and the team at the dealership were not only accommodating but gave our animals water and seemed to appreciate our little zoo visit. After a quick sit in each vehicle and a test drive of the Fusion, it was pretty clear the Fusion was the best option for me in cost and quality on the Windward side. They were willing to help me get to a monthly price I could afford and fielded every possible question I had from the initial sit down, through the paperwork signing, and after closing out. Overall, this was a very good experience for me and I haven't had any issues with my Fusion over the past month. Thank you to Windward Ford for making the car buying experience less stressful than I had expected and tolerating our crazy, animal-riddled visit to your dealership. More
