We felt belittled when we walked out of their store. We stopped in to let them know one of their cars had a window down last night. We figured we'd ask about a couple of cars we saw while we were there. That was a mistake on our part. I have an extremely common name and have had to deal with that fact most of my adult life. We have however managed to buy our car (2005 buick in 2012) by getting it financed at $13,000. We own our home, not financed, along with several other things we financed with absolutley ZERO missed or late payments. We were looking at a couple of vehicles newer than what we had. We didn't have an appointment but we were squeezed in. Options were what we were looking at. We filled out forms for trading ours in but I said before we started that MAYBE we might, because I know how this game is played! We were in there for 45 minutes total , and they asked about which vehicles we were interested in. We told them and they said that vehicles in that lot were No Warranty which was no big deal beings I built my truck up from what it was and probably wouldn't have traded anyways as I could get triple what they'd offer me for it. They flat out told us we had no credit which was completely false! We financed our buick, we financed our 35 foot fifth wheel TT, my little work shop is currently financed. All With Absolutely ZERO Late or missed payments!! We OWN our home! They just flatly told us No Credit. They didn't ask about cash down payment, Equity or Bank accounts. Probably for the best as the truck I looked at was $3,000 more than their KBB said it's worth, if not more! Just needed the ugly thing to help with the rest of the remodel. More
