I used to get my Matrix serviced here, and after coming back I remember why I stopped. My oil change took 3 and a half hours, granted some of that time was due to them trying to put a $200 battery into my back I remember why I stopped. My oil change took 3 and a half hours, granted some of that time was due to them trying to put a $200 battery into my car without full approval and subsequently having to take the unapproved battery back out. Best part of the battery shenanigans is that instead of cleaning the cables, they went straight to "you need a new battery." If the cables are dirty, you're going to get a bad test no matter what, so that was very crooked and shady of them to basically fail a test on purpose in the hopes to jack my bill up. At the end, my car was not brought back up to me, which I feel was retaliatory after rejecting their battery BS. I would reason that letting customers drive their own cars around the lot would be a liability. Lo and behold, I was just handed my keys and no clear direction to my car; I found it parked among a couple others that I had to back around. Lucky for them I'm not an idiot and didn't damage another customer's car. I've never had my car left where it was parked, my experience is always that they drive it back to the customer waiting area, but, again, I think they were miffed I didn't pay the exorbitant battery price and took what little revenge they safely could. Once I got home I took the 5 minutes to clean the battery cables and it started and ran better than before, no thanks to World Toyota at all. Please understand what this means: they jumped straight to the $200 option without even doing the most basic of cleaning/maintenance, therefore the unwanted battery that was in my car momentarily had my dirty cables transfer filth/corrosion to them, and they were going to just leave dirty cables on a brand new battery which almost defeats the purpose. This could not have gone more stupidly, and thankfully I'm not as stupid as them. If you value your time, do not come to World Toyota. If you value transparency, do not come to World Toyota. If you value reasonable prices for good work, do not come to World Toyota. If you are unfortunate enough to be somehow forced to use World Toyota, hopefully you at least have Jeyvis help you, as she was very friendly and professional throughout. More
The dealer recommended service that was not needed and they didn’t check any of the items that they wanted to replace. They only went by the miles on the car.
