Tom, I am sorry you feel that we tried to insult your intelligence, that was not the intent. Our dealership is not on a major highway where we get a large amount of foot traffic therefore we do in fact price our cars aggressively online which in turn means we do not have thousands of dollars to discount our vehicles once a guest arrives in our showroom. If you felt as though the Volkswagen Consultant that was helping you gave you a "song and dance" than that is something I need to address with the team to make sure they are explaining it properly. We pride ourselves in our customer service and not only being a store that produces sales but a store that produces happy customers. Mr. Hamilton, I hope your enjoying your new 2009 Cadillac CTS-V 6 speed which is personally one of my favorite cars we have ever sold. It should be a blast now that we are finally coming into some warmer weather. I am sorry you feel disgusted about your purchase of your new car from our dealership. I would never say that a car did not go through our service department. The car went through our shop and had brand new rear brakes (pad and rotors) put on as well as a front strut mount issue rectified as these two repairs were indeed safety issues at the time. Due to the rarity of the vehicle you purchased I chose not to replace the rear tires which were still in spec, however indeed not a new tire. Every used vehicle I sell I look at as if I were going to purchase it. A 556 hp monster of a Cadillac I would imagine a customer would want to choose there own rear tires when it came time for replacement. If I were to put some inexpensive set of rubber on the rear of that particular car the next owner would likely replace them with which ever high performance tire they prefer as would I if I was to purchase it. Therefore, it seemed the better option was to price the car a little more aggressively to make sure the next owner would have the opportunity to make this vehicle their own. I understand and apologize that you feel disgruntled with the price and tire issues that you mentioned, at the end of the day I hope your experience was a great one with Roy your vehicle consultant and your enjoying your awesome new car.
