After giving the salesman all my personal information to run a credit check before we sat down to negotiate, he comes back with his numbers for the car. I was surprised to see all these extra fees added to the offer like government fee, the highest doc fee I've ever saw, window etching, and that certification which is a basic extended warranty. Who are these guys kidding? Then we started talking price. But that ended quick because they price their cars to the "market value" within a 100 mile radius. The salesman then went to the sales manager with my offer for the car. After making us wait for what seemed like an hour but was more like 15 minutes, he came back to us with the same numbers. The salesman gave me some kind of song and dance to justify the price of the car. As soon as you insult my intelligence and lie to me about car pricing, which I know how and what car dealers do, the deal is over. Its a shame how some buyers will get caught in the "trap". However this buyer already knew the tricks of the trade and caught them at their own game. Al I can say is stay away. There are better alternatives. More

I really wouldn't consider ever going anywhere else - and I happen to live within 2 miles of another VW dealership. Bob was, and continues to be very professional, personable, and always willing to make the entire experience seamless. Jonathan Redwood the Sales Mgr is always just as helpful and personable. Whenever I have gone to the dealership for service appointments he has always made time for any questions I had and would always greet me regardless of how busy his day was. I can say working with both Bob and Jonathan over the last 5 years has made me come to enjoy my visits to World VW. They make the atmosphere very warm and almost and treat you as if you are "part of their family". I would recommend anyone work with either Bob or Jonathan for an excellent car buying experience. GREAT FIRST TIME BUYING EXPERIENCE My fiance and I were in the market for a pre-owned truck. I called World VW to inquire about one in their lot. However, it was out of our reach... I t My fiance and I were in the market for a pre-owned truck. I called World VW to inquire about one in their lot. However, it was out of our reach... I told the sales man what exactly was looking for and he said they would call me... I honestly forgot I even spoke to them.. In just a few days I received a phone call from World VW and a very friendly voice informed me that they have a truck in their lot that fits us perfectly.. I made an appointment and came... I was greeted by my sales man Joseph G. Scarpino. I have to say he was the most friendliest and most informative person we have ever dealt with! He made us feel comfortable and at ease and totally felt like he was on "our side"... I told him about the nightmare that we had experience at an other dealer (toyota of lakewood) months ago and he assured us we were in great hands.. We told him exactly the number we needed to be at and our terms. He GOT THEM EXACTLY all with in 45 minutes of us being there. Once we signed and drove away with our beautiful truck, we noticed a couple of things that we were not happy with, I called our sales man, and he told us to turn right around and bring the truck back... We did... Not only did they fix everything we wanted addressed, the manager handed us the keys to a brand new VW with no questions asked... He apologized for the inconvenience, and we would be called as soon as the truck was fixed! Hands down, the best people, best dealer, best service you could ever ask for and will by far exceed your expectations. We will be returning in a couple of months to purchase a second vehicle. I HIGHLY recommend World VW for what ever New VW or Used car or Truck you might be in the market for! If they don't have it.... They will find it for you.. They surely did it for me.. World Volkswagen of Neptune has been one of the better dealerships to work with. Our experience with them is always friendly and smooth. We just got our fourth vw with them this week and worked with Roy Draper. Roy was great to work with. Very friendly,and NOT pushy as most salespeople are known to be. He worked with us till we got the perfect deal for our family. Our son will be getting a car within the next year and we will definately work with Roy again More

Not willing to adjust the price for safety items I know this was not your typical vehicle that I purchased but that doesn't mean things have to be sacrificed just because it is a "special" one. First off, the rear tires on the car were at the minimum legal limit. Then we have the front rotors/brakes on the car. They were destroyed, not even really safe. Was that partially my fault for not inspecting that? Guess so. But it comes back again how does a dealership allow that kind of item just go? You can't tell me that the service department never looked at the car. So after $1200 of my own money the car is safe to drive. And you wouldn't come down on the price at all. Disgusting. I will make sure that I pass it on to my friends in NJ to never purchase a used vehicle from this dealership. More
