Young Kia

I'm only giving this 1 star because of the Service Department. I have not worked with Young KIA sales, so I cannot speak to their level of service or lack of service. However, the service department at Young KIA has a lot to be desired. Their communication is terrible, both amongst their staff and with us as a customer. We had an engine replaced in our 2014 KIA Optima due to a recall. This was covered 100% by KIA's warranty and a recall for these engines which was great. However the experience dealing with Young KIA and their service department was a terrible experience. AND they still owe us $600 for a car rental reimbursement while our engine was being replaced and it's been like pulling teeth to get them to respond to me about getting our money. I typically do not write poor reviews, but had to on this one. Not only because of this poor experience in December 2021, but also with two other previous oil changes, they left our car a mess with oil all over the inside of our door, steering wheel and seats. In another instance, they said they rotated our tires along with the oil change, but they did not and lied about it. I will never go to this dealership again for service or to buy a car. Service customers beware! More

Took my daughters car to be serviced by Young Kia of Layton. •Timing Belt •Water Pump •Starter •Rack and Pinion •4 Wheel Alignment •Complete Drain and Recharge of A/C They had the car for Layton. •Timing Belt •Water Pump •Starter •Rack and Pinion •4 Wheel Alignment •Complete Drain and Recharge of A/C They had the car for a solid month, literally 30 days. The mechanic took vacation 2 times and they obviously took the car to lunch on multiple occasions. As evidenced from dropping the car off with a half of tank of gas, now on empty with the light on. There were over 4 straw wrappers on the passenger seat floor along with dirt clods with “work boot” tread shapes. all of the handy wipes were gone and the empty canister had greasy smears all over the container. An air freshener spray was taken from the glove box and my Daughter said she was missing some change she had in the ashtray. The dealership would take numerous other cars in before completing our car. Our car was constantly put on the back burner while new cars took priority. This place is literally JOKE! Then to top things off, the alignment still pulled to the right, took it in and they checked it and said it was fine. Took the car to another service center to have the alignment done AGAIN and they showed where the problem was and fixed it. When I attempted to get a refund on the alignmen, providing the service manager with receipts and verification of the problem. He just ignored me. I then got in contact with the store manager and he assured me he would get in touch with me but never did. so this is absolutely pathetic that that won’t stand behind their service and they took so long to complete the service, while taking the car on their lunches. this is a deplorable service center and I absolutely advise everyone to go elsewhere for their car. Let my nightmare be your lesson. Terrible, terrible management and service center. STAY AWAY!!! More

Zero integrity at this dealership! They sold me a car with two bad tires. I gave them the chance to do the right thing and fix it after two weeks of being passed around to 8 people who never call you bac with two bad tires. I picked out good tires with the service manager Scott and general manager Dallan. I would expect more from the general manager of a dealership, wow! When I went to pick it up after service has closed I had stock tires on that are not rated for snow or even rain, and go about 10,000 if you are lucky. Also known for pieces of the tire to randomly strip off. I called other tire places were shocked they would put these on a vehicle in Utah and they told me this tire should NEVER be used where there is snow!!! Very unsafe! They replaced one safety issue for another. They lied and took me for a fool! Very dishonest and not even close to what was agreed upon. Do not go here to even have your windshield wiper fluid added as they have no value in customer retention or safety. If they weren’t going to be honorable in fixing the original safety issue, they should have just told me that rather than stringing me along, being deceitful, and not doing what they said they would. They put the safety of my family at risk. More

This has been the worst customer service experience of my life. The dealership damaged a piece on my car and I had to come back to get it fixed. The WORST customer service from service department. They have had my car for almost 3 full weeks. After me complaining that I get zero updates was told by Victor in service that his new policy he would cal have had my car for almost 3 full weeks. After me complaining that I get zero updates was told by Victor in service that his new policy he would call me daily to keep me posted only after I sent a very detailed email to the service manager hoping to hear from him…. That didn’t happen either! That didn’t last long! As soon as my 2020 Stinger is fixed I will be trading it in on something completely different, just to never having to deal with KIA Layton service!!!! More

Worst car shopping ever. Car listed in on-line ad, drove 45 minutes to see car. Drove the car liked it and wanted to buy it. Manager came back with price $2000.00 above listed ad price and $1000 over sticke 45 minutes to see car. Drove the car liked it and wanted to buy it.
