Hello Gary. The quote we provided you reflected certified Hyundai parts, we did not quote after-market or used parts. The quote was also a worst-case scenario due to the age of your vehicle as well as the amount of corrosion we saw. We didn't know how many of those parts would have been needed until we got into the repair. We wanted to be up front, so you would not be surprised by additional cost if additional parts were needed. My frustration is that there was a 10-week wait to get an appointment. At the time I called I was told the vehicle (a 2021 Hyundai Palisade) was under bumper-to-bumper warranty. After that 10-week wait (which was not my choice), the vehicle was then 2,000 miles over the warranty. I find it extremely concerning that a vehicle that was purchased brand new from Hyundai would not be covered by the warranty simply because the mileage was over due to use during the wait period for an appointment. I think Hyundai should be ashamed of this decision. I cannot in good faith recommend a company that treats customers this way.
