Both Dakota and Brian were extremely helpful in finding me my new car! Not only were they super patient- they were also understanding when a rogue turkey dived in front of the dealerships car while I was d me my new car! I used to regard Zumbrota Ford as a reputable dealer, that actually cared about its customers. It has either changed, or maybe Steve Johnson isn’t aware of some of their practices. This leftover 2019 F-1 that actually cared about its customers. It has either changed, or maybe Steve Johnson isn’t aware of some of their practices. This leftover 2019 F-150 we purchased is a good vehicle, and we figured we were getting a good deal, until we received credit rejection letters from several banks. Three out of 6 said that one of the reasons the loan was rejected was that the loan amount applied for, exceeded the value of the vehicle. Had we known this info that night, we would have walked away. Also, this was the 4th vehicle we have purchased from them in the last 8 years, and spending upwards of $100,000 in the process, the last two were new!! Most people would assume that if you keep going back to the same place, the sales staff would throw you a good deal. Guess not this time. The sticker price was $45,000, and when we started to get rejection letters, I started looking at the actual value of this particular vehicle. It was only valued at $35,000. I know that it is the customers job to know this in advance, but $10,000 difference? No wonder they had trouble securing financing. I gave them a bad review on Ford.com, and they had a fit about it. Steve Johnson was mad, said the finance team needs to take care of this. That never happened. They said they wanted to make things right, so did they lie to me, or did the finance team not involve the owner? No matter what happens, I know I will NEVER go back to this dealer, and we’ll never recommend them to anyone. I take full responsibility for my actions, but we should have run away from this deal. Definitely, anyone who reads this review, and doesn’t do research on specific vehicles, or they try and bait and switch you, run away screaming!! More
