From start to finish, Brad made the entire car-buying process incredibly easy and stress-free. I was able to trade in my vehicle seamlessly (seriously, it felt effortless), and Brad walked me through every step of getting into my new car without any pressure or hassle. What really stood out was how much he genuinely cared about making sure everything was perfect — not just the sale itself, but all the details that came after. Brad went the extra mile to help me take care of a few cosmetic things — including scratches and a chip in the windshield — after the purchase. That kind of follow-through and attention to detail is rare, and it made me feel like more than just another customer. If you're considering buying a car and want someone who is honest, helpful, and committed to making the process smooth, ask for Brad G. at Ackerman Toyota. I left with a car I love and the peace of mind that I was taken care of every step of the way. Highly recommend! More

I have driven Toyota Camry’s for the past 25 years. This was the worst sales and financing experience I have had. I live 5 hrs anway and bought the car online. The day I went to pick up the car our sales person was too busy helping other people, we finally went and asked him for the second set of keys so we could leave. The Finance Department was not forward about what I was paying for in taxes and assured me I was paying no further fees or my person property taxes. It took me almost a month of constant hounding the dealership to get an accurate description as to what my money went to. When I finally received the paperwork, I had financed my personal property taxes, not knowing and I had fees that equaled approximately $375 that I was not informed about. In fact I was told the only fees I had the day of the sale was the $299 in fees to the dealership. The people were nice but they did not provide accurate information and I question if it was dishonesty or not knowing and they were not helpful with providing the needed information after the sale was finalized. Nor were they very interested in assisting with what was being asked. More

Ordered Rav4 hybrid 7/1/22. Told my trade in was about $10,000, & would be 8-12 weeks. Salesman promised to keep me informed, never did. After 8 months I was told there was no timeline they could give me for delivery. Miraculously they could get me the same thing but not hybrid within a week. I took it but the trade in was half what they quoted. Last car I got from Mungenast in Alton IL. That will be where I go next time. Don’t trust Ackerman! More

Darwin was our salesperson. He told us a price and said point blank that it was the walk off the lot price. He even said that he could waive the fees. When it came time to sign He told us a price and said point blank that it was the walk off the lot price. He even said that he could waive the fees. When it came time to sign paperwork, he added a $200+ fee and denied ever saying those things. His sales manager came out and accused us of lying and even stated “why would you want to buy a car from someone you don’t trust?” Good point! We walked. They will say anything to get you to buy and then not follow through. At one point we were even texting the salesperson and he admitted later that we were actually texting the sales manager who was using his phone. Very unprofessional, rude, and just overall bad business. Wouldn’t recommend shopping here. More
UNETHICAL! Went in on 5/03/22 for an oil change and tire repair. Initial visit started off wrong as the first guy I encountered was argumentative when I asked for a patch plug. He insisted I didnt need one and that they wouldnt do one. Which they surely did not. Mark Wright was my service advisor who stated after a multi-point inspection it was noted that I needed front and rear brakes. He stated the front break rotors just needed to be turned/resurfaced but that I needed new rotors and breaks in back. I asked which breaks needed to be done first he stated front breaks were worse. Even though there was no squeaking or stuttering when I applied pressure to my breaks. Upon inspecting my last visit to a Lexus dealership 4/21/21 my front breaks were 6-12mm and back were 4-5mm. Breaks usually last 20-60k miles I drove 22k. According to Toyota my front breaks 3mm and back breaks were 2mm(it would seem I needed back breaks first) On 5/20/22 I returned to have my front breaks placed as I was told I needed those first. After about an hour and half Mark Wright came out and stated they tried to resurface my rotors 6 times and failed so I will need new rotors and there would he an additional $170. I reluctantly agreed to the new rotors. To my suprise my car was complete in roughly 10-15min which was extremely fast. This made me believe they already had the rotors on and/or I didnt need them and those are the same rotors yet the plan was for the additional cost in supply and labor. I would question however why would anyone try to resurface and destroy rotors without informing the customer prior? What if I didnt have the additional $170 to spare? Would they have put the bad/ destroyed rotors back on and let me drive out? After the second try I should have been informed that way I would have had the option to refuse their service. Lastly, I know for a fact NO multi-point inspection was done as I am in desperate need of a new rear windshield wiper(see attached) no way they could marked that as “good”. I would NEVER go back to this place nor should anyone else. Their practices are very unethical. If I wanted to be bamboozled, hoodwinked and lead astray I would have went to a Lexus dealership. 😡 More
