I went in to Suburban Cadillac of Costa Mesa, CA to purchase the XT5 I had been leasing through GM Financial, which was at its lease termination with option to purchase at set/fixed price. Intention was to do this as a cash purchase - a seemingly very straightforward purchase of what was virtually my own vehicle anyway. As part of finalizing the paperwork, Suburban Cadillac insisted that I had to pay $995 for a safety inspection of my vehicle. After much back and forth with Suburban, and as they would not shift away from this, I finally relented, just to move on with things. Astoundingly (or maybe not, in hindsight), Suburban never performed any safety inspection, never provided any safety report/recommendation, etc. No one from Suburban ever had the keys to the car, didn't take it into the shop, didn't look under the vehicle, didn't open the hood, etc. Basically, the $995 'safety inspection' was just a farce, really more like a fraud. Just a way to extort money from customers, while providing no added-value and no added-service. I would strongly advise folks to avoid this dealership, or proceed with Suburban only with great caution and skepticism. Suburban Cadillac does not appear to be a trustworthy or ethical dealership - to say the least.

I spoke with a salesman on a Friday evening about buying a new van. I asked what colors it came in and he handed me a brochure. I asked him what the "out the door" price would be for a particular model and he said I'm not sure. I asked if he could possibly find out for me and his response was that he could call me the following Monday or Tuesday. I decided right then and there that this business didn't deserve my money. In my opinion, a vehicle is an investment and I expect all of my questions to be answered. I went to Bakersfield and drove my brand new van home the following Friday. So much for shopping local!

This chevy dealer has horrible service and has no communication between each other . Sales representatives have no athority or knowledge on how process goes , the team lead are no better , they are rude and try not to listen and work for you . The finance could not get the paper work correct and ran our credit 14 times for almost ten days and after the day we signed our contract with out our permission . The dealer then sent the sales person to our home to sign a new contract and knew nothing about the contract , he did not have the correct paper work . He said he would be back three days later , but the next day the dealer called and wanted us to go in . When the third day came manny said he would be here at 6pm , 6:36pm came and he showed . He then said he would like to go over the contract but knew nothing when asked and said we could read to be sure . When trying to talk to some one about our issues we were told we would get a call back or they were busy . I never got a call back. Even calling corporate they could not help . They are only about problems with the truck and the dealer is independent . .

I used to work at this dealership in the service department, and it is simply horrible! Regarding the courtesy car wash, your car will only be rinsed with water, no soap or anything at all. Porters/lot attendants are the ones that wash cars, drive them up, and park them, etc. Beware, I have witnessed them stealing change from countless cars since people normally place all their change in the smoking cup, or the slot near the cigarette outlet. They will also burn out in your cars, SUVs, and trucks! The service writers will try their best to rip you off, even to the extent of lying that there are problems with your car when there isn't to earn their monthly bonuses. I once saw one of the mechanics fighting with the service manager, Bon Gotuaco, who is a huge ass by the way, that he refused to fix a car because there were no problems with it, but Bon insisted that the car be "fixed" so that the service department could get money from the customer. The mechanic was suspended for not fixing the car, even though there were no problems with it. This place is horrible, steer clear! The employees here are very shady!

My car was dropped off on Thursday morning 10:00 a.m. (03/30) via appointment. I asked them to look at a noise coming from the right front of the vehicle and what appears to be the transmission slipping or slamming into gear. I waited and called back at 4:00 p.m. Friday afternoon (03/31). I was told, "oh, they are just test driving it now and will get in touch with you." A day and a half later and they are just touching my car. Thirty minutes go by and I get a call..."we identified the wheel issue but can't duplicate the transmission problem." Through a frustrated smile, I responded "that is because it doesn't happen until the car is warmed up and you are driving at around 30 mph, which I told you yesterday morning. Of course you didn't find anything, because you just drove down to the corner." Service rep says, "well...our manager lives in Visalia, if you give him permission he will take it with him over the weekend and be able to tell you something on Monday." Frustrated I give my permission. Saturday, Sunday, Monday go by, no call. I this morning, Tuesday (04/03) at 9:30. I have called seven times since then. All I get is a recording. I leave messages, nobody calls me back. Finally, at 1:40 p.m., I call and frustratingly tell the receptionist "do not transfer me to the machine again. Nobody responds and all I want to know is where is my car." She begrudgingly tells me she will try to figure it out and puts me on hold. Four times the phone is transferred, rings outs, and she picks it up. "Can I put you on hold?" the fifth time. Finally she comes back and tells me, "Oh, the service tech is driving it right now to see if the transmission is still slipping." Are you kidding me!!!!! This is the worst service I have ever received anywhere, for any thing. And to top it off, I get to pay them $300.00 for "diagnosing" what is wrong with my car. I can tell you what is wrong. You are diagnosing the xxxx thing. I ask for the service supervisor. "He is out of the office today." I ask for his supervisor, "uh, there isn't one, we just have departments." I look for the ownership information or the dealership manager. There isn't any information readily available. I will never use this dealership again. I suggest you stay away from them for any reason you have.

Our experience at this dealership was great. The sales representative (Marshall Brant), was friendly, professional and helpful. He explained everything about the car and the purchase process very well. We didn't feel pressured. Instead, we felt valued as customers. We felt very comfortable with him throughout the entire process.
We also had a great experience Ozzie Khan who typed up our paperwork and received our payment for the car. He also was clear and knowledgeable as well as professional.

GMC Canyon Denali - Andyd
After test driving several other brand mid size trucks and ready to upgrade out of a 2017 Tacoma I decided to test drive a GMC Canyon. From the moment I stepped onto the North County GMC, Cadillac, Buick dealership, Mike Winczewski educated me on the Canyon during the test drive. He and his manager Joe were respectful of my need to sleep on my decision. They brought in a truck from Bakersfield that had the color and options I wanted.
