All I can say is these people are crooks! Stay away! They sold me a Rv with illegal exhaust system among other issues like never informing me that it had been wrecked when it was new!

BUYER BEWARE -- If you're under the guise that buying - tierney.ballard

BUYER BEWARE -- If you're under the guise that buying an RV from what seems to be a reputable dealer is the way to go; make sure you do your homework about their policies and procedures, and bring your own mechanic. If you plan on spending 50% in markups in comparison to Facebook Marketplace because you think your concern will be prioritized, do yourself a favor and find an extended warranty to purchase for 10% of the selling price, and buy from ANYWHERE else. My experience may be one very unique, specific one; but at this point, after working with the company for 6 weeks, including Marcus Lemonis's office directly, it is one to be aware of. The Story: We bought an RV in mid-October. It had been inspected by Camping World and was a 2017 Thor. We believed Camping World to be a reputable company, and Thor to be reliable, and therefore, we proceeded with the purchase. Within 3 days we contacted our Sales Representative Virgil Swarts to inform him of a loss of power issue and hydraulic codes being reported by the dash of the RV. He asked us to call the service department, which we did promptly. They informed us they could not accept the RV until 11/30; to which we replied would not be acceptable due to the cancellation of a trip already, assuming we bought a quality product that met the rigorous inspection required by Camping World before sale. Between contacting the Service Department and Virgil a few times, we were able to get it back into the Service Department within a week of purchase. At this point, we thought the hiccups would be resolved and we could move on. We were planning to move to Kentucky in the RV on December 12, and the issues would definitely be resolved before then right? We just bought the thing. Marcus Lemonis definitely takes more pride in his work than teh average Joe on facebook right? Here we are. Today is December 12. We’ve had to arrange $6000 of expenses in flights, cars, and hotels. I will have to be with the children on the flight by myself so my husband can drive the dogs in our car. The Service Manager has no expectation of the RV being done today. We’ve asked multiple channels if they could keep the RV to do a thorough review of it, cancel our contract, and sell it to another family. They’ve refused. We asked if they would at least ship it since we will be so far away, and as a family of 9, it would be a nightmare for us to send myself or my husband alone to retrieve it and they’ve refused. They do not stand by their friendliness, service or product. Beware of the canned schpiel they give you. They DO NOT support the buyer after purchase. Again, this was just our experience, but throughout this, we have worked with every aspect of the dealership and service department and have not had a good experience. Just be educated prior to patronizing this place. It’s been a nightmare for us.

Stay away if you care about post sales service! - Rob G

Stay away if you care about post sales service!!!!!!! I bought a 2020 Roadtrek Zion from Richardson's brand new. I have been trying to get some minor warranty work done on it for over 6 months and all I have gotten is the run-around and lies from my customer service rep "Jeff Starr". He has been nothing but patronizing and full of in-action. He comes loaded with excuses, while nothing gets completed on some fairly straightforward problem that Roadtrek has agreed to cover with my coach. Richardson's should be embarrassed by its service department and particularly with the way Mr. Starr represents this company to its customers. Not only will I never use Richardson's for service in the future, but I also would never even consider buying another coach/trading mine in for an upgrade from you. Furthermore, I will make every effort to ensure that my views are published on public review sites. If I were the owner of this company, I would be appalled by your customer service department. Not that I would expect the owner to see this review as I am sure bad news gets filtered out but I hope he does.

Very helpful upfront, terrible after sale. - Rodgers-Vey

They were very friendly and helpful upfront before the sale. Not so much after. Even worse a year later when I sold the vehicle and needed a refund on my extended RV repair warranty. I'm still fighting to try and get my refund 6 months later.

Serious lack of Honesty and Integrity. - jmh

Serious lack of Honesty and Integrity. After bringing my coach and tow-car in for service work, and after spending over $6000... it was pointed out there was damage done to the passenger side of my 2020 Entegra 45' coach (during the oil change) where the mechanic got too close to something in their shop. They were immediately notified. It took several followup phone calls to get a response from CJ (service manager) and took him over 5 days to respond. As we were traveling/moving, he instructed me to get the cost of repairs from my destination dealer and he would "kick it upstairs...for reimbursement". On CJ's request, I sent him photos of the damage...and took him at his word. After eventually sending him the repair estimate (several weeks ago) from NIRVC in Tennessee, and calling both CJ and Fernando, the branch manager, 12 times, they NEVER returned any of my calls or responded to any of my emails. Obviously playing "catch me if you can"! The cost of the repairs was a fraction of what they overcharged me... but have proven to be extremely dishonest and NOT TO BE TRUSTED. I no longer trust this company for any future business. Gladly, hearing of my experience, it successfully dissuaded one friend in the area to buy his brand new 5th wheel from a competitor dealership which he just recently took delivery of (can't imagine what that cost them). I was in business for 40 years, and have NEVER treated a good customer with such low regard and disrespect. At best their work was minimal, but their word is worthless and their integrity, if possible, is even worse. No one should put themselves in a position where you are at the mercy of MTRV’s corrupted management style where their total lack of business ethics will put you at risk.

“Beware” After a month of research, I ended up making - Roobik

“Beware” After a month of research, I ended up making the biggest mistake, I chose a 2023 Wayfarer 25RW Tiffin motorhome from Mike Thompson Rv. I paid $175000 for the biggest pile of junk on this planet. Let’s start with the dealership. Sales people are not trained properly on all the products they sell. They lie and say yes to anything you ask to get the Sale. They are suppose to show you how to use all the features, my orientation lasted less than an hour with a person that knew nothing about this particular motorhome, anything I asked, the answer was, I don’t know. I drove out of the dealership without knowing the location of the USB input to activate Apple CarPlay. The following day I spent a whole day on YouTube to figure out how to use everything. I bought this motorhome to start traveling, specifically a Vancouver trip from California. On day #4 we took off from Los Angeles towards Vancouver, did not make it past Sacramento, had to drive back because everything in this motorhome stopped working one after another. First thing we noticed, the refrigerator was not getting cold, it was plugged in while we were loading the motorhome all day, then 8 hours of driving, never got cold. Second, it was a very hot day, to use the air conditioning, I had to leave the generator on, after a couple of hours, the generator stopped running, so now we also lost the air-conditioning. We decided to turn around and head back home before we got stock out in the middle of no where. I drove the motorhome back to the dealership the next day. It is now almost 3 months that I purchased this RV, and it is still in the dealership, I’ve only used it for four days. The dealership doesn’t do any repairs themselves, apparently they drove the RV almost 30 miles out to another location to get the generator fixed, it has been there for over two weeks and now I am told it’s going to be another two weeks before they get it back. After two weeks hopefully if it’s back, they are planning to send it out to another location so that the refrigerator can be fixed. When that is fixed and sent back, they are planning to send Rv back to Mercedes for issues with the key fob & brakes. They say it will be at least another 2 to 4 weeks before I even see the motorhome. When I called to complain about this situation, I was told if I wanted to, I could pick up the motorhome and take it to all these places myself. LOL, so basically I paid $175k for a brand new motorhome to take it from one repair shop to another!!! (I don’t think so) At 60 years old, I thought I have seen it all and learned from my mistakes, boy was I wrong. I called Tiffin motorhomes twice and left a message for someone to call me back and assist with all these issues, no one called. I called Mike Thompson’s Head Quarter, and left several messages for them to call me, finally someone named Bob called and said he would look into it and get back to me, he never did. Basically, I got the short end of the stick. I am in the process of retaining an Attorney to get myself out of this nightmare. I would not recommend Tiffin Motorhome’s, nor would I recommend purchasing an RV from Mike Thompson unless you like playing Russian roulette.
