Don't get service done here - Allen Jameson

Purchased a Subaru from Alvin Robinson, he was amazing to work with and extremely knowledgeable on any vehicle on his lot. That being said I had a very positive outlook on this dealership, so I opted to use their service department, especially since they offer a work shuttle and that convenience would be fantastic. Let's start with a more annoying aspect, the shuttle service... I had the experience of dealing with three different drivers on multiple occasions. Each driver was rude and unprofessional, not to mention their lack of driving skills for their job was severely lacking. On to the more important issue, their service department. I have gotten 5 oil changes from this place, and I am the type of person that checks my oil after each change to ensure it looks adequate. First oil change - everything seemed to have gone fine, clean oil, no spills, alright Second oil change - particulates in oil, oil appeared to have the look of a few thousand miles on it already, I was skeptical, and voiced my opinions, so they changed the oil immediately again after I mentioned something, after this it appeared fine. Third oil change - after assuming it was a fluke the last time I didn't check the oil until my ~10 mile trip home, it was dark, and I mean 5000 mile dark, I immediately drove it back and explained that they must have not even changed the oil, merely cleaned the outside of the vehicle. They changed the oil on the spot, alright. Fourth oil change - semi clean oil, but particulates are back, they send a master tech out to argue with me that this is normal... I have them change the oil again...(alright, now it's clean...) Fifth oil change - last oil change - keep in mind throughout this process I had opted for the higher grade synthetic oil as recommended to me in the beginning. This time I decided, after speaking with another dealership, to get to the bottom of all of this, I chalked where the oil filter is in white. They changed the oil, and to my not-so-surprised beliefs, the oil has particulates in it... Drive it home, check my chalk lines, perfectly there, nothing has been touched. Took it straight to the other dealer and they changed the oil properly, and have 4 times since, with zero issues, and beautiful oil each time. I cannot believe a dealership doesn't even properly change oil.

My Ascent received it’s 12,000 mile service. Everyone at Marion Subaru is friendly and professional. Especially during this unsettling pandemic time, it was nice to know that the car had been cleaned and the window left open for ventilation. (Inside) I don’t do business where people disregard safety protocols. Highly recommend Marion Subaru. I’m an ex Ford owner. Loved my Ford products. Subaru more.

Radiator and battery replacement $1,070.00 - Carlisah

My car was leaking radiator fluid. I called PDR. and told them so. They set me up for an appointment on Jan 3. My Battery died before Jan 3. and I told them so. I told them that I would have my Saturn Relay towed to them about 15 mins late. They told me that they would replace the battery, radiator and  hoses for $1,070.00. I told them that I will have my car towed back to my house then the said I owed $225 for the estimate. They didn't mention diagnostic charge at any time and they didn't allow the towing company to take my car until I paid. They later brought it down to $197.00. Be aware if PDR  just looks at your car you're going to pay about $200.00 and average radiator replacement is about  $500 according to the internet.

If possible I would give -5 stars 1 star is far too many. Don't bother unless you want to spend a lot of time in their lounge. 1 replacement Key cutting/programming 5 hrs 3 hours sitting in their lobby only to be told with a smile and a laugh that their $20,000.00 key cutter was unable to cut the key, even though they verified that it was a Genuine Subaru key while checking me in, no apologizies just some "if it weren't for bad luck,, joking attitude," I was then sent to a local locksmith who cut the key in less than 5 minutes. After getting back to the dealership and waiting in line to get my car checked with no recognition of the 3+ hours i had already been their, finally the Mr. "if it weren't for bad luck"... sees me and says we'll get right on it. 1.5 hours later i am finally brought to be checked out. I am then told by the service person who has been mishandling me all morning says "if you had ordered the key from us you wouldn't have had this issue..." That's when I realize this dealer was punishing me for not buying the key from them!!

I cannot emphasize how much you should AVOID this dealership and its unprofessionalism. I have worked in law enforcement for 13 years and have never seen a level of incompetency from one company. My review has to do with lack of communication. I purchased gap and a mechanical warranty from the dealership in 2021. I traded my purchased vehicle in 2023 to another dealership and contacted Bloomington about the refunded I was due since I did not complete my contracts. All I wanted to know was the process of getting my refund and when it would arrive, THAT’S ALL! Unless you are buying a car from them, they will not return your call or emails. This started in October of 2023, and I finally received my refund check today, 6 months later! I had to get Subaru corporate involved, and Bloomington would not even return their calls and emails. The Subaru corporate agent I spoke with has been on this case with me for over two months and has never seen anything like this. The people to avoid at this dealership (If you must go) are the following: Juan Prado (Finance), Wilson Johnson (Quit I think), Nick (A manager), Matt Bachara (General Manager), Joe Fasanella (Executive Manager) and Joe Sasanella (May have spelled wrong, Executive Manager). All of the above (Except Matt on one single occasion) ignored all of my phone calls and emails. Jose would only call me back when the District Sales Manager was notified of the issues I was dealing with from the Subaru corporate agent. I hope this dealership tries to dispute anything I have mentioned since I have kept all requests for contact information. And finally, thank you to the receptionist Kaylen for all the calls I made to the dealership, she knows exactly how much headache I had to endure.
