Lovely people but not great service. - Boowman

The experience was good and so were the people, the service, on the other hand, was terrible for the simple reason. I had my car inspected at the Dealership but the garage I bought the car from was not going to pay that price so I had to find another garage (Carlton Motors). The dealership said that my brake discs had issues and should be replaced were Carlton Motors said they are fine. Everything else was fixed and paid by the garage I have purchased the car from. Fast forward a week later I started hearing squeaky coming from the outside and I knew it must be the brakes. Called Carlton Motors and booked the car in again and this time they said that it is because of the brake discs but it should pass. This was almost over 3 months ago. Now I have to pay for them because the garage won't pay for something that I might've messed up even though Carlton Motors should've replaced them instead of assuming they are ok.

Update: Dealer did send us a check for the repair. Thank you. They are under new management. Changed from 1 star to 3. Buyer Beware. Dealership does not follow through on obligations. I purchased a Toyota Tacoma online from Carmel Motors and the dealer shipped the vehicle as part of the purchase price. The vehicle arrived unannounced with a dead battery and a smashed windshield. While the dealer did purchase a new battery for us through AutoZone, the windshield replacement has been a different story. The delivery driver did not speak English very well and claimed the windshield was smashed by individuals "molesting" him at a rest stop. He offered cash to my wife for the windshield. While apologetic to what happened, he was clearly trying to complete the delivery and go quickly. Uncomfortable with the situation, my wife accepted an amount that was half of the replacement cost of the windshield. The dealership at first appeared to want to work with me on a resolution by getting the shipper to pay the difference, but stopped pursuing a resolution with them and stated they were filing a claim with their own insurance co. That was 6-Sept 2023. Weekly requests for information have gone unreturned. They appear to be ghosting me. I felt my only recourse was to share my experience with this dealer so others could potentially avoid a bad experience themselves.

My wife & I had searched several months for a pacific vehicle, with low miles and came up with nothing then a friend of ours told us about Cars R Us in Indianapolis off Keystone Ave. We went there and my wife found the BMW SERIES 4 vehicle she was looking for with low mile and color that she liked. We spoke with Sales Manager Michelle and she was very knowledgeable, thorough and knew everything about their inventory, very helpful. This made our past experience so easy and relieving from what we have been going thru the last few months. Ray the Finance person was very kind and explained everything and the process was quick and wonderful. Our experience was above and beyond from start to finish with Michelle being so knowledgeable of her inventory. We truly can't "Thank" Cars R Us enough for a wonderful experience and making my wife happy. We would dearly suggest that if you are looking for a vehicle then call Cars R Us. Thank you Staff

Overall I had a pretty positive experience, working mostly with Lacey. I purchased a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Sport. The one issue I had was that the RADIO was not working, which was noticed on the date of purchase, and brought to their attention immediately. They spent less than 5 minutes trying to remedy the problem before just giving up and suggesting I subscribe to Sirius radio because the AM-FM bands were not working at all. I live 100 miles from the dealership so "swinging by" to have this issue fixed is really not a great option. I was disappointed that this issue was not checked and fixed before the vehicle was sold, but also very disappointed in their unwillingness to work to try to solve the issue just 2 weeks after. Telling me basically to either PAY for the repair myself or take an ENTIRE day to make a 6 hour round trip so they can "check it out". I honestly think that this issue SHOULD have been fixed BEFORE the day I came to pick the vehicle up. They should check EVERYTHING to make ensure that things work that should. Get the car you want with No pressure. - JTLWAR

Ask for Dan Weidner you will get all the help you need. Nice cars on the lot and if you find something on one of there other lots they will bring it to Warsaw. Year, Make and price on the window, doors unlocked walk the lot and look with no salesman with you unless you ask for one. If you find a vehicle you like then go to the office they will pull up all the information on the vehicle and print it out for you to look over there or take it home and check it out. I have never met nicer people to deal with no pressure, friendly and honest. I'll recommend them and go back to look for another vehicle when the time comes.

BUYER BEWARE SOME of the vehicles sold by this - Problematic Vehicle

BUYER BEWARE SOME of the vehicles sold by this business may have pre-existing conditions. I purchased a Subaru at the end of January and it had 3 issues. First, the air conditioner did not work because it was void of freon plus the fact that the oring seal on the high pressure side wasn't the right one so the product all leaked out. They paid for this item which was odd. Second it had a major issue with valve body malfunction which in turn set off the dashboard lights disabling many safety features including eyesight and even cruise control. This is a problem with some Subarus. I was even requested the 2nd week of February not to take it to Subaru without discussing with the seller dealership. If you keep driving the vehicle like this with the dashboard lights activating the transmission can be ruined. They suggested taking to Big O tire who don't work on transmissions. All they do is clear the secondary codes which eventually come back. The rear brakes also had only 2mm pad left which is at a critical safety limit and need immediate replacement. It's a good thing I took it to a Subaru Dealership. It cost over 3K to fix these issues. The seller dealership just sat on their hands. Implied that it should be taken to Big O tires, right!? The tires were even under inflated to boot. Vehicles like this shouldn't be on the market without being inspected and/or fixed beforehand. As-is is one thing but this is absurd. If you do want to make offer on a vehicle it's a feasible idea to have THEM take it to a dealership to be inspected first. "We will make this right" is what was stated to me.

Decent price and nice store. Once they had my money, they didn't want anything to do with me. Service after sale sucks! Said they would fix things on the vehicle but it took long periods of time and they never fixed everything! I gave up. Had several problems with the vehicle right after purchase. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

we were there for the big deal going on in july and while the bank was helpful the overall experience is something that my husband,my dad and myself would not recommend to anyone to buy a car here. We were told one thing and another happened was told no down payment and had to put a lot of money down I would suggest that your people learn to talk to each other before you tell any buyer what is going to happen while we did buy the car we were lied to about it not needing any work when in the truth it needs about a lot of work. Also a week after we had the jeep they are calling us again to say they need more imformation from us. it also took myself calling to get the title so we can plate and insure the jeep. The process of signing the paperwork for the loan also took over four hours. So we will not be going back there to buy a car,truck,suv and would NOT recommend to any of our friends or family. Also upon looking at the price on Kelly blue book we find out the jeep was way over-priced.

Bought '06 BMW convertible... solid car; had headlight/electrical issue at time of sale... they did a fantastic job in tracking down the issue(s), none of which were their fault, and worked hard to correct it. They communicated well with me... and Gary & Zwee in Service Dept. went over & above in solving the problem. (i.e. wasn't as simple as "bad bulb out, new bulb in"... MUCH more complicated, yet they didn't walk away or dodge the issue. They were outstanding. Jerry Weidner was my sales person and he did an excellent job of keeping me informed of what they were trying to do to solve the problem. Would highly recommend Best Deal Import Store in Ft Wayne and will tell friends to see Jerry W. He will take care of you!

I was very disappointed in my experience with Bob Thomas Ford. The vehicle I was interested in was an import from Canada and based on prior experience Canadian vehicles, due to the weather, often have rust issues particularly on the undercarriage. I specifically asked the "online sales manager" about the condition of the undercarriage and I was assured that is was in "great shape". I was ready to move forward with the purchase but wanted to get a couple of pictures of the underside of the vehicle. When I asked, the online guy passed the sale on to another salesman who sent the pics I asked for and low and behold the undercarriage was, as I suspected, very rusty and corroded. Shady is the word that comes to mind. After pointing out the condition of the vehicle, I did not hear another word from Bob Thomas Ford.
