I BOUGHT TRUCKS FROM JIMMY ALLEN AT ALLEN AUTO SALE FOR OVER 40 YRS.MY DAD OVER 50YRS. ALLEN AUTO SALES HAS GONE DOWNHILL. THE LAST 3 HAD BAD TRANSMISSIONS IN THEM BUT I STAYED THERE BECAUSE OF LOYALTY. JIMMY ALLEN DOES NOT CARE ANYMORE. THE LAST 3 TRUCKS.EQUINOX HE STRANDED MY DAUGHTER IN LAW AND GRANDAUGHTER IN IS WHY THEY WONT BUY FROM HIM. BAD TRANSMISSION. THE NEXT WAS THE 2ND ONE A FORD TRANSIT VAN FOR MY SON.IT STARTED MISSING, WE TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC INSTEAD OF JIMMY ALLEN SO WE WOULD GET AN HONEST ANSWER AND THE MISS WAS CONSISTANT WITH BEING UPSIDE DOWN SUBMERGED IN WATER.TRANSMISSION WENT OUT 2 DAYS LATER AND STRANDED MY SON.THAT WAS THE 2ND TRUCK WITH A BAD TRANSMISSION AND HE KNEW IT. THEY CHANGE THE FLUID AND SELL IT TO YOU.AFTER 30 DAYS IT YOUR PROBLEM NOW. THE 3RD, IS A 2011 HE TOLD ME WAS A 2012. GAS GAUGE DIDNT WORK SO HE BOUGHT ME A FUEL PUMP AND I HAD TO GO GET IT AND IT WAS UP TO ME TO HAVE IT PUT IN, THE WINDSHEILD WASHER DOESNT WORK THE TRANSMITION SLIPPED, THE IDLER ARM KNOCKS AND THE TAIL GATE DONT WORK AND YES, THE TRANSMISSION WENT OUT, NUMDER 3 IN A ROW. ALLEN AUTOSALES TOOK ADVANTAGE OF ME AND RIPED ME OFF FOR 13000 DOLLARS. THIS IS WHAT I GOT, AT ALLEN AUTO SALES AFTER 40+YRS OF BUSINESS AND MY DAD OVER 60. I read the review of the Mazda above with interest. I bought a Jaguar through eBay from this outfit. I guess Doug tells everyone the same story! Had it shipped and it was not as it was presented. Was told no wrecks and just a little interior wear and such. The paint job on the front bumper could have been done as well with a brush. The other damage was evident in the rear since nothing is aligned or fits properly. He said he lost money on the deal... The interior was clean but nothing works correctly. He said he would have kept it for himself when I called to get resolution about how they misreprented it online but it was too fast and he didn't want to get ticketed. He was absurd in his demeanor. Run away from these folks as fast as you can. Karen, on the other hand was always pleasant on the phone, bless her heart for having to work at such a scam outfit.

I just wanted to share my negative experience with Don Franklin Corbin Toyota who refuses to refund my money on a new vehicle that hasn’t even been built yet, isn’t even on the lot yet. The dealership has incurred no loss and I signed zero paperwork and they refuse to refund my deposit. Their business practices leave me questioning the dealership’s integrity.

When we checked out a 2006 Chevy Malibu here - it looked great - drove great on the test run, and it was priced for about $5,000. As soon as I drove it off the lot (after I filled it up, mind you -- it was left on E for a reason) it had issues. It began to make strange noises coming from what seemed to be the drivers front side under the wheel. I took it straight away to a tire place across the street and they told me that whoever sold it to me replaced half of what needed to be replaced and left the rest to us. We signed a "buy as is" contract so we (my dad & I) couldn't go back and complain. Several months later now, I'm STILL having issues with the car. I've had the breaks changed (which were almost out) as well as those things near the tire replaced. It's left me stranded several times - and yet when I first got it - it seemed fine. The whole dang computer is having issues... and the guy who worked on it informed us that it was in a rather serious wreck that could have triggered the whole onset of the problems. There are also RECALLS that had been put out for this particular model that could have been fixed before being sold - that were not fixed. More time lost for me. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE. THEY SEEM FRIENDLY BUT THEY WILL CHEAT YOU OUT OF YOUR MONEY. They didn't have a lot of answers to questions my dad had either. Their "I don't know" - I'm sure, wasn't one of ignorance.

I can't remember the salesperson's name but he was not very experienced and their service person should be fired. The car was nice, I test drove it with the gas light on, I asked if they were planning to put gas in it before I drove it and was advised that I would be fine. Not very comforting. I came back and while being under personal pressure, had wrecked my previous car and had one day left in my rental, I made an offer. The sales rep had to call someone that was not there to advise of the offer. He then tried to negotiate with me while repeating the information to the person on the phone. I felt like I was on a bad game show. After negotiating the price I accepted and we started the paperwork. I ended up helping the salesperson complete his portion of the paperwork, again, not much experience. The brakes squealed a bit during the test drive but the temperature outside was close to dew point so I thought that the squeal was moisture related. turns out, two calipers were seized and warped both rotors. Once I got home I washed it and brought it the garage to inspect the fluids more. I found the brake fluid to be burnt and the oil in the crankcase to be well past it's change interval. You would think that a brake inspection and oil change would be automatic when they receive the cars on the lot. I will not go back and would not recommend them.

I wanted to buy a Mini Cooper and I grew up in Owensboro and I have heard about Tapp Motors growing up and it was always great things that I heard and I also know Steve so I called him 1 day on a Monday and ask if he had any Mini Coopers in stock he did not but said he could find me what I want the next day he called me to tell me he has 3 now so my husband and I drove from Louisville to look at them we decided on a red 2012 mini cooper red and low miles and I LOVE IT!!!He took better care of us than Louisville mini they were extremely rude and they had a Mini that I really liked but the way we were treated we walked away!!!!I am so HAPPY I called Tapp Motors!!!!!I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy a car and the great thing is if they don't have it in stock they will get it for you...I will buy again from Tapp motors...Thank you Steve Long and everyone at Tapp you will see me again...I LOVE MY MINI COOPER!!!!

I bought a car and it leaked oil and check engine light came on that same day I had to replace the wheel bearing that day. In the first 2 months I had to replace the tires starter and all the vacumn lines were dry rotted, cam shaft prosition sensor and still the check engine light is on. It took over 4 months to get the tags. They kept giving me the run around on getting the tags. Would not recommend anyone to this dealership.

So long story, but do not purchase anything from this dealer! I purchased a 2012 Dodge Charger SE in February of 2021. The vehicle had major damage to rear side and I accepted that. And took and spent close to $2500 performing repairs needed on vehicle, rear quarter repaired lights repaired, preventative manitenance, and mechanics repairs. These people know the cars and act like they don’t. So that was ok I came back the end of September because I kinda was happy with the service even though the employees (it’s all one family according to the business licenses through Fayette county) are most of the the rude. But whatever came in bought a 2008 Escalade with $2000 down and traded my charger in. Escalade had obvious issues dash lights on for suspension engine and airbags and a few others. Had noise in front end on take off etc body damage, and some other small stuff and a large exhaust leak and power steering leak. In the making of the deal I was not going to buy it simply because of the repairs needed. I agreed that if they fix the exhaust and power steering and give a warranty (still had to pay for this which is fine but it wasn’t free or anything) I would do the deal which puts me overpaying for the vehicle 5,000 dollars compared to nada value. Which is cool whatever. Call them and all of a sudden there was no agreements per Sam for anything but the power steering. The truck broke down the I took it home. Had no oil in it. They say they fixed the power steering which was false it is leaking fluid from the rack. And they say the truck was fine. I would understand a dealer selling a car and 30 days later something happens it’s used what do you expect but the day of delivery. Seriously and the act like nothing was wrong when I went over all the issues and now they say nothing was on paper which I know it was. So I’m just saying DONT PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM THIS LOT. I would have sent anyone there to buy a car a month ago I wouldn’t send anyone at this point. It’s a classic buy here pay here trick. I shouldn’t have trusted them like I did. My screw up. Won’t happen again. All involved tony in sales and sam were the two main included people causing the issues at this point.

I bought a '94 Mercury Sable with a 3.8l engine in it. Ernest Spence (Salesman) failed to tell me that it had a blown head gasket. I had overheating issues within one week and less than 100 miles after purchase. I replaced the thermostat and continued to have the same issues. These issues included white smoke fromt he exhaust, no heat from the heater, and cyclic over heating as shown on a temp. gauge. I returned to the dealer exactly one week later and was told that there was nothing wrong with the car and that if I wanted to get new head gaskets, they would split the cost with me. I am wondering, why would they offer that if there was no problem with the vehicle. Anyway, I just found out that there is a recall on this car and engine for the head gasket. It does not cover me because I am outside of the time limit. Stear clear of this dealer. They will deny any issues that they probably knew about before they sold you the car.

When you call him back the next day they forgot all about you and told me that I could not get into the car that I chose. And they wanted to put me in a car they wanted to sell me not what I went there for. That’s why you got a one star rating. And mine was in Arizona not Kentucky
