Williams service goes above and beyond, never trying to "upsell" you for things you don't need. I implicitly trust this dealership and am glad I moved my service business there. One last thing: Their valet service is convenient and exceptional. Amanda, who picks up and returns your car, is a gem and always efficient, responsive, on time, and communicative. She represents the best of Williams Subaru's Service Department.

Service at this location is horrendous. Unless it is a quick and easily identifiable fix they won't keep you updated on the status of the service, won't explain in detail why they need to do certain things, and then return the vehicle without all of the parts properly put back into the vehicle. My car was unexpectedly out of commission for weeks, and they never once offered a loaner vehicle or proactively updated me on the expected timeline.

Do not get your car serviced here, I had work done on 2 foresters and it took 3 times for each to get the problem fixed and fight with them about charging me for items that didn't fix the problem. $ 1600. On a total new ac system , 1 week later it stopped working, took it back and was charged for a/c recharge and o-ring , $ 160.00 !!!

I bought my first Subaru from this dealer and only needed - Outback Driver

I bought my first Subaru from this dealer and only needed routine maintenance the whole time I had the car. Not one problem, the several years I drove it. I traded it in for a 2020 Outback and have had frequent problems with the new computer system, including failure of the tailgate lift system, beginning with my early ownership of the car. It had been fixed and working for some time when I brought the car in for a scheduled update of the computer system. When it was returned to me, first thing I discovered the tailgate was malfunctioning again. I returned it, again, for repair under warranty. I was basically put off by the dealership and then - with no valid grounds - was blamed by both the sales manager and the dealer owner for the problem. My impression was that they didn't know what to do to fix it - so, blame the customer. A number of postings on online forums identify this as a known problem, yet I was rudely confronted by both above individuals. This morning, I received a call from the Subaru customer advocacy center that Armstrong Subaru did not wish to resolve the tailgate lift problem; that they want me to find another dealer to do this warranty work. It seems to me to be outside the purview of Subaru ideals to blame and fire the customer! When it has involved routine maintenance, Armstrong Subaru has delivered consistently in the service department. However, in this case of a warranty issue - particularly involving the computer systems - my impression is that their knowledge and skill is limited. That they would blame the customer for the problem, particularly with such aggression and rudeness in my experience, is unacceptable IMHO. In my experience, the Subaru Outbacks I have owned are amazing cars. I live on a hill, on the edge of the NC South Mountains. In bad rains, I have to drive uphill in mud, on a switchback, to get to my carport. There has never been a problem negotiating this course that would be impossible for many 4-wheelers. I now just need to find a reliable Subaru dealer.

I used this dealership for routine maintenance twice and they were okay for that type of service. My horrible experience started when I needed my seats cleaned (I had the fabric warranty I purchased from the dealership I purchased my car from in VA). I was told that my warranty works wherever I moved and that was the case (I could have taken it out in town too but figured I would go through this actual dealer). I spoke with Beverly and she was extremely rude and unhelpful. I was on the phone with the other dealership and the warranty company and I did all the leg work for the claim. I finally filed the claim and when I called her and let her know that all she needed to do was send them a quote and they would approve it. I was told they only have detailing for their vehicles and have not cleaned customers vehicles that they do not have on their lot. When I called her and said that all she needed to do was send them a quote she said (with an attitude) "so you expect me to take care of this"... Well I had already done everything else and finally just decided to get a quote from out in town and then happened to be going back to Virginia the next week so just had the work done there. I will not being going back to National anymore, even for routine maintenance.

I have nothing but praise for the service people at the desks at Prestige Subaru in Asheville. I took my little friend with me because she likes to get out and go places instead of being homebound. She is 71, deaf and on oxygen. The young man who checked us in was so kind and helpful with her. When we got inside, she fell, due to 2 hr long ride out there. Most of the service folks at the desks came running to help me with her. They brought water, Crackers made her comfortable. They were wonderful people. From the bottom of my heart, thank you!! Your company should be very proud and thankful for such kind employees who went above and beyond. My friend was fine. The guys who did the maintenance did a wonderful job too. So thank you!! They all made our 2 hr drive out there worth it, especially how they treat their customers!! So if I could give the highest of reviews, it would go to you all. Again thank you!!
