: My Experience With Premium Auto Collection – Chesapeake, VA
Owner: Johnathan Leon Wright Jr.
I am writing this review to warn others about my experience with Premium Auto Collection and owner Johnathan Leon Wright Jr. I strongly encourage anyone considering doing business with this dealership to proceed with extreme caution.
On February 8, 2025, I purchased a 2016 Dodge Charger from Premium Auto Collection in Chesapeake, VA for $9,999. I provided a $3,500 down payment and financed the remaining balance through Credit Acceptance. At the time of purchase, I believed everything was legitimate and in good standing.
However, in July 2025, when I attempted to make a payment, I discovered that my loan showed as paid off. Confused, I immediately contacted Credit Acceptance. I was informed that they had not received the title from the dealership and could not complete the financing. As a result, Credit Acceptance returned all four of my monthly payments of $308.
I contacted Johnathan Wright immediately in July 2025 and requested a refund of my $3,500 down payment and payments. He refused. Instead, he told me to continue driving the vehicle while he figured out what was going on. I relied on his instructions and waited for a resolution.
In September 2025, after hearing little to nothing, I reached out again. At that time, he assured me that the situation would be handled within a week. That promise was never fulfilled. Months passed with inconsistent communication, delays, and lack of follow-up. If I did not reach out, I would not hear from him at all.
: Because the dealership never provided the title, I have been unable to register the vehicle or legally drive it. This has left me stuck with a vehicle I cannot legally use despite paying a $3,500 down payment and attempting to make payments. This situation has caused unnecessary stress, inconvenience, and financial hardship.
Recently, the situation escalated further. Instead of working toward a resolution, Johnathan Wright began sending unprofessional and insulting messages. He made comments about me being poor, having bad credit, and being “from the hood.” These comments were completely unprovoked, inappropriate, and unprofessional. I simply requested to be treated fairly and with respect.
Additionally, the lack of communication throughout this process has been extremely frustrating. There were long periods where I received no updates, no solutions, and no effort to resolve the issue. If I had not continued to follow up myself, there likely would have been no communication at all. This experience has raised serious concerns, including:
Failure to provide title documentation
Financing complications due to missing title
Refusal to issue a refund
Inconsistent and poor communication
Unprofessional and insulting behavior
Failure to resolve the issue after multiple promises
I have been patient since July 2025, and the issue still remains unresolved. At this point, I am pursuing formal complaints and documenting all communication.
I strongly advise anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from Premium Auto Collection to proceed with caution and thoroughly verify all documentation before making any payments.
I am simply seeking a fair resolution and to be treated with professionalism and respect.
