After two trips to Chapman Honda I found the vehicle my wife and I wanted, a 2019 Honda Ridgeline RTL- E. On Tuesday morning I advised my salesman Sam Arquit that we wanted the Ridgeline and received a confirmation from him that it would be ready for us later in the afternoon. I then advised Sam I would be in with the money in full. At noon I called and advised Sam that I had A Dr. appt and would be there about 3:30 with the money. At 3:15pm I called and advised I was still in heavy traffic, as the dealership was over an hr. and 30 min drive from my appt. location. I advised I should be there at 3:45 pm. About 10 minutes later Sam called me to advise it had just gotten sold and the Ridgeline was no longer available for me to pick up.
I then met with Sam's Sales Manager whose best advice for my loss was to sell me a higher priced Ridgeline, at full price and split the cost of a bed cover....WOW !!! What a complete lack of professionalism and integrity for getting stabbed in the back and losing the vehicle to which I had been promised . I can't picture myself ever saying or writing anything complimentary or positive about Chapman Honda. I hope the ownership team will "enjoy" the letters I will be sending explaining our displeasure with their sales 'practices' Which are unethical to say the least !
