When I bought my car in 2022, the man in the finance department tricked me into canceling my 3rd party gap insurance to buy through them by telling me it would be refunded if I never missed a payment, and when I went to follow up after making my final payment recently, surprise, surprise, he is no longer with the company and they won't honor it. It doesn't matter that there was a witness because I didn't thoroughly read the contract as I was signing and he was just telling me what each page said.
