Cons • Made online reservation for Mon • The facility was clean and bright. • There was a very short wait for a dealer to come out and help us. Cons • Made online reservation for Monday evening and was called by a “greeter” Monday morning saying they were confirming reservation for Tues. Not sure where the disconnect was- system or user error reading the details. • When the dealer came out, he introduced himself and asked what we would like to see. I gave all that info to the “greeter” that morning and she told me the car would be pulled up and ready to look at. What is the point of the prep call if the info doesn’t make its way to the dealer? • When we looked at the car we came for, it went way downhill from there. o The key fob didn’t work to open the trunk. The dealer tried to claim it was only meant to unlock the trunk and not open it, but even that didn’t work. Do your resources not check all the car details before selling it? If there are things that don’t work, you should fix it or be upfront about it online so buyers have the right expectations. o During the test drive with the dealer, the blinker didn’t make any sound, which he later tried to tell me was not a safety issue. I totally disagree, that is a huge issue. If the blinker is left on accidentally because you can’t hear it, and someone about to pull out thinks a person is turning so they pull out in front, you have an accident on your hands. The dealer told me it was a $75 fix. The fact that your dealership would sell a car with a safety issue like this and not fix it beforehand is crazy to me. You clearly have the resources to do it so it tells me your inspection on used cars coming in is not very thorough. o Also during the test drive I noticed that a handful of items listed as features online, were actually not applicable to the car. The dealer was shocked and made the comment that he would usually see moonroof listed when there was none, but never that many items. Are you kidding me? You people know that car descriptions have been incorrect and no one is doing their due diligence to confirm the descriptions are accurate the day it goes online? That is 100% fraudulent inducement! You lured my family to travel over an hour away to look at a car that had all these great features that didn’t actually exist. I was beyond frustrated at this point and you know what the dealer offered us… a bottle of water and the option to see a 2021 version that was almost $16K when the almost $12K car was slightly over budget. He said he spoke to the manager and that there was nothing they could do as the prices were at the lowest point. He offered to fix the $75 blinker issue if we wanted the white car still- absolute joke!!! No manager came to see me and apologize at a minimum and then not to offer a discount based on our experience at that point was insane. To make matters worse on all this, as of right now, all those false items are STILL listed online… Blind Spot Monitor, Heated Seats, Leather Seats, Panoramic Sunroof, Power Seats, etc. Unbelievable that you found out yesterday at 5p and this misleading information is still out there! o On top of all this, the cars we were shown smelled and were not clean. That is the easiest thing a dealership can do and you failed at that! I could see the second car more so than the first since you already had intel that I was coming specifically to see that car. o The dealer we worked with was young and needs a lot of practice! He did very little to make me want to buy anything at all- even my 16 yr old commented how he needs to be more confident and knowledgeable around used cars. He did offer at the end to go check with his manager again about a lower price (but said he didn’t know that the manager would agree to it). At that point, even the price he was saying he would ask for was more than we would ever want to pay for a car like that. More
