Aaron is an Allstar! I had the pleasure of buying two Porsche vehicles from Aaron and both went very smooth. Really like the one-stop shopping (drive test to paperwork) rather than being turned over to Porsche vehicles from Aaron and both went very smooth. Great all-round experience tldr - great experience dealing with Aaron and everyone I encountered at Porsche Grapevine. Very happy with the product, the deal, the length of time to complete - everything. There's things I dislike about buying a car. The trek to the dealership, the positioning and posturing over trade values, the push to purchase extras, the hours waiting for the finance manager and then the next hour signing documents until your wrist aches. Enter Porsche Grapevine. Yesterday I reached out with an inquiry about a used 2018 Macan and emailed back and forth with Aaron. Although he offered to drive over with the vehicle, drop it off so I can test drive it and evaluate my trade, I opted for the in-person dealer experience. I'm glad I did for several reasons: - the facility is immaculate. I swear I could eat my lunch from their service centre floor. - the immersive experience. I was able to see so many rare and interesting vehicles there. I liken it almost to the excellent Porsche Museum in Stuttgart which I've visited twice. - Covid-safe, almost touchless experience. Clean, sanitized, precautions, everyone with a mask. Although I was early, Paul (Kim) noticed I was wandering around the outdoor space looking at all the lovely shiny things and introduced himself and gave me a tour. All in, I was out the door with my Macan in two hours including my (unaccompanied) test drive, vehicle prep, paperwork and delivery. I think that's a record. Finance options and paperwork were all handled personally by Aaron and so with minimal documentation signatures (under 20 pages with signatures, initials), a quick swipe of my card for my deposit, I was done. A word about price. You're buying a Porsche. I've owned premium cars before (used Mercedes and new Lexus) and experienced the incrementally better sales/service experience. It's possible to buy a "cheap" used Porsche either privately or through a non-Porsche dealer. You might even buy one through a Porsche dealer, but for me one of the biggest draws was getting a Certified Pre Owned (CPO) model. It means they know the car, it's been maintained properly, likely a young car with one owner and not a crazy amount of miles. It's peace of mind and it offers tangible warranty benefits. These are sold "as is" with no dealer warranty and that's a good thing. It's Porsche that backs the warranty and they stand by their engineering. So back to that price thing. I've researched this exact model for months, so the price point for the one I purchased was excellent. Sure, there's some options I'd have liked (or perhaps a GTS, but that's a different price point). I didn't haggle either. I felt that the price point for this machine was a good deal for me and I enjoy a frictionless win-win experience. My trade was a three year lease with 14 payments remaining so I expected to take a bit of a financial bath on that one. Not so. When I figure in the price I got in trade and the payoff amount, the difference was less than the sum of my remaining payments. So, another win. Any regrets? Not one. Other than not having done this a year ago. (*Steve Levi gets a nod because I returned later in the day to hand over my second set of keys, so our interaction was brief but good). More
