Abigail, in the internet sales department was super. Buying from 300 miles away, with some rigid specifications for technical details I was looking for in a used Wrangler, I had a million questions to be assured this vehicle was actually what I needed it to be before I put down a deposit and bought a one-way plane ticket. They were outstanding, checking and double checking, and answering more questions that I'd forgotten to ask the first time. They always had time to talk to me and to check things out for me, and they were super responsive. When I got there, the vehicle was absolutely flawless in every way. They had it spotless, well serviced, and ready to go. They even had all the paperwork as complete as possible and all I had to do was sign (and sign and sign, but that's buying a car these days). Even more wonderful, was that they sent an absolute Jeep Wrangler savant to pick me up at the airport, so I had 40 minutes of questions and Jordan knew everything and more, plus he had taken the time to go over the particular vehicle I was buying, so he knew how to answer my questions for my actual new vehicle. So, what could possibly be wrong? They have a ridiculously rigid policy that they will only hold a car on deposit for 72.0 hours. I found this car on-line on a Sunday, spent most of Monday on the phone with Internet Sales, and put down a non-refundable deposit that day. Being Monday and being a guy with a job, the rest of my week was already set with business travel and business commitments in my hometown and elsewhere. I told them I'd be there Sunday or Monday (6 or 7 days later), and I'd let them know in advance which day. The upper management absolutely would not budge. If I wasn't there by Thursday, it was going back on the lot. I offered to pay their full deposit for each 72-hour period I needed them to hold it, all non-refundable, effectively tripling their standard deposit. They would not budge. I had to cancel meetings, and exchange non-refundanble flights I had already booked to my out of town meetings, and redirect my flight itinerary for the week through Winston Salem, which forced me to embark on a 4 hour drive starting at 10:00 PM (in my new Jeep) to still make a commitment in another city the next day. I told them how tremendously inconvenient and expensive it was going to be to redirect my life through Winston Salem in the next 72-hours, and the management simply did not care. This was exactly the vehicle I wanted, the exact way I wanted it, and they had my $500 whether I ever bought it or not, so I put up with it, even though changing my life and my flights around cost more than the $500 deposit I had on the table. If only they would have let me complete my work week as planned, and show up the next weekend, or the next Monday, they'd get a 15 out of 5 from me on this rating, because Abigail and Jordan and the Eddie and the service and detailing team were that good at everything else. Their management knew they were making me go through all that turmoil, to turn the next five days of my life upside to get there within 72 hours, and they simply did not care. Other dealerships I've bought from long distance have offered 7-day holds on deposit, so to me, this was a glaring exception. So, if you live nearby, I'd recommend them highly. If you have a completely open schedule and can just fly on over to Winston Salem anytime, I'd recommend them highly. If you're a busy person with a full schedule, I hope you find the car you want at a dealership that understands other people have deadlines, too. North Point fails on that critical aspect of customer service, while I've found that others pass. More
