We’re truly sorry to hear how frustrated you are, we understand how disappointing it is to experience another A/C concern.
To clarify, the A/C components were replaced approximately three years and 40k miles ago, and at that time your vehicle was within its factory warranty. The current repair is occurring outside of the warranty period, which unfortunately means the repair is no longer covered.
That said, we absolutely did not ignore your concerns. Although the vehicle is out of warranty, Volvo provided a goodwill assistance of $1,085, reducing your out-of-pocket expense significantly. The remaining balance is approximately $2,500, not $4,000 as mentioned.
We understand no one expects to face unexpected repairs, especially on major components like A/C. While warranty timelines are set by the manufacturer and not the dealership, we still advocated on your behalf to help lower the cost as much as possible.
Our goal is always to be transparent and supportive, and we would be happy to review the repair details with you again to ensure everything is clear.
