Just bought i nice used '02 VW Jetta with 46k miles on it -fairly priced for the age and miles. Problem #1 I was prepared to buy the car and they listed the price for it $1000 over the advertized price -fairly priced for the age and miles. When I protested the salesman looked up the add and the price I claimed -to his credit, he apologized and made the correction. I was put off by this though - I mean what if people don't have the 'nerve' I had and got ripped off. Mistake or not -it just wrong. problem #2 After driving it and taking it to my own mechanic to look it over -he recommended the tie rods and control arm be replaced. Now it's likely these parts were NOT in an imminent state of immediate failure as I heard no noises felt little vibration and experience no play in the wheel but I like to be better safe than sorry. I came back to the dealer armed with a printout of the recommendation. I was told this can be "taken care of" and upon my request I could see a copy of the work done on the car. I then paid in full for the car -not realizing the mistake I made. I was called back by a Gruff Used car sales manager who proceeded to state his years of experience and how he looked at the car on the lift and how he "stands by his men" WHAT ABOUT YOUR CUSTOMER? In my eyes This was a precursor to my agreement to buy the car to have this work done so I would NOT have to deal with it later for the money I am paying. I know for a Fact that what they are selling this car for is about 3-4k higher than they bought it for or what they assessed it for. So in my mind I am entitled to my request being honored! I realized I screwed up by buying the car first and taking a verbal agreement to have this work done -only to have them refuse to do it later. I sure hope the worn parts hold out. Meanwhile I intend on airing my complaint everywhere. More

I dealt with Adel and the whole experience was different from my experiences at other dealerships that same week. No-nonsense, no haggling, straightforward pricing. Didn't try to sell me stuff I did not need. I went in there knowing how much I wanted to pay, test drove the car, and purchased it that day at the price I was looking to pay. My wife and I saw the car we bought on line. It was what we were looking for and was offered at a good price. We traded in our old 1997 Chevy and no one made fun of it. We hope the new Chevy is well made also. The V-6 Carmaro we bought is a peppy car with good gas mileage. On the road we average nearly 30 miles per gallon. I see the zero to 60 is 5.9 seconds! After the car is broken in at 1,500 miles, we get to check the performance. The black wheels look good with the black paint and interior. More

My questions on items in the contract where dismissed. I was lied too about what certain line items meant, and as a person that writes contracts all day I know better than most about contracts. The salesman went on and on about how honest he was and full of personal anecdotes but I just got the feeling that I should look for the slime trail. This guy was so eager to have me sign a contract and make a sale, I had documents in front of me 2 secs after the test drive. Also all during the test drive he maligned another dealer that I mentioned, very unprofessional. When I went out to discuss this with my husband we where so turned off we just left and they guy chased us down, called three times within 3mins and had his sales manager leave a voicemail. Avoid these people at all cost! More

Remembering Adel, I presented my need to him and told him I was thinking about this car from another dealer. Adel was able to locate a NEW car (Chevrolet HHR) for only slightly more than the 1 year old car I was looking at. I am very pleased with Jennings and Adel, and would not have purchased a new car without his help. More
