Great car buying and service department We had a pleasant experience when we purchased a Honda CRV 2018 on the 4th of July. Alagie Manneh was our salesperson. He was very helpful and knowled We had a pleasant experience when we purchased a Honda CRV 2018 on the 4th of July. Alagie Manneh was our salesperson. He was very helpful and knowledgeable. He ensured that we got the best price and even exceeded 2 competitors prices by a lot. When we got to the finance man, there was some incorrect information on our price that Alagie got the manager to give us. The finance guy was really quick to fix it. Because we had been there a long time, he actually called the general manager of the dealership instead of one of the associate managers. The GM gave him authorization to do whatever he needed to to make us happy. For the several hours we were there, Alagie focused on us and our satisfaction. When we told him it was okay for us to wait for the finance guy and that he could help someone else, he assured us that until we left the dealership he would make sure to focus on us 100%. The other people in the dealership were very friendly and helpful. We even got to enjoy some of their July 4th cookout. Overall awesome car buying experience this time. We actually bought another Honda from them 15 years ago. We've been taking our vehicles there to be serviced every since and have had awesome service and pricing from the service department as well. More

MY CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE AT HONDA OF GAINESVILLE I stopped in at Honda of Gainesville with my wife and daughter to look at the new Honda Accord. My daughter recently graduated from college and we wan I stopped in at Honda of Gainesville with my wife and daughter to look at the new Honda Accord. My daughter recently graduated from college and we wanted to help her begin her career with a nice vehicle. I have not had very pleasant buying experiences in Gainesville so my expectations were very low when I entered the lot. I was just intending to look at the vehicle that my daughter liked and compare with like models in other locations like Orlando, Tallahassee etc. where I have had good buying experiences. We were immediately met by a car salesman that would not just let me look without his assistance (my wife and daughter liked this). The salesman was Alagie Manneh, and he was professional from the start to the finish. I know the limitations of Sales personnel and I don't like wasting my time haggling over sticker price, invoice price etc. At the appropriate time the proper personnel were brought in to make a deal. A fair deal was made and my daughter and her husband are the proud owners of a Honda Accord Purchased from Honda of Gainesville. Based on my previous experiences looking for vehicles and services in Gaineslville I Certainly did not see this coming!!! Thank you Matt and Alagie!!! More

My wife and I were happy with the first one, but are even more im We recently traded in our 2015 Honda CV-R Touring on a 2017 Honda CV-R Touring. My wife and I were happy with the first one, but are even more impressed with the improvements and safety features on the second one. Alagi Manneh was the sales consultant on both vehicles. We like him very much and consider him our friend. He is very knowledgeable of Honda products. Alagi and management staff had to do considerable work to make this purchase happen, We have always been treated like Royalty by all of the sales staff and service employees. It is a pleasure going to the Honda store. More

Used car buyer beware and always have your car inspected by an independent mechanic.I typically avoid dealerships when purchasing cars and this experience has completely c and always have your car inspected by an independent mechanic.I typically avoid dealerships when purchasing cars and this experience has completely confirmed why. Whenever I voiced a concern about the car, they insisted that buying a car from Honda of Gainesville meant that you were buying a quality car that had been inspected by their mechanics and that there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. That was completely untrue. The car turned out to be a rust bucket despite me specifically asking about rust at least twice. The sales representative tried at every turn to prevent me from having the car inspected by my mechanic even though I told them from the beginning of our interactions that this was non-negotiable. We even drove to my mechanic once and were about to have it inspected when he balked at leaving it there. We finally reached a point at which he let me drop the car off and shortly thereafter I received a call from the shop saying that, after one look at the underside of the car on the lift, he would highly discourage me from buying this car. He snapped pictures and said 'There is no possible way they didn't know. It's a shame they tried to sell you that.' Negotiations were considerably more painful then dealing with a private party as a good portion of time was spent playing shell games with dealer fees and waiting at a desk while the sales representative was talking to his manager before returning with a number far different from what we had been discussing. He initially refused to email me the carfax until I insisted that I wasn't coming back until I could go over it. Over the course of 3 days I spent about an hour of my time waiting for people to find the sales rep I was working with, waiting for him to show up to work at the time we had agreed on, and waiting for him to finish his facebook posts while I sat awkwardly at his desk. After returning with the car and asking for my deposit back, he refused to help arrange to get me back to my car at my mechanics shop only a mile away. He said he was too busy with another customer despite spending the next 10-15 minutes trying to sell me on looking at another car while my uber arrived. Other staff eventually came out to offer me a ride after hearing what happened but this was at least 5 minutes after I was forced to call an uber and would have been charged regardless. I am shocked that a company who touts it's reputation so much would act this way. I would definitely not wish my experience on anyone. The only positive point of this whole experience was being saved from ending up with a car worth far less than what I was about to pay. More
