Although the dealership was going through a remodel, the purchase process was organized and straight-forward. We were shopping for a new Ascent. We called other dealerships in the area. One other dealership had one we liked, however it was pretty far. We called Peoria Subaru and they, too, had one we liked wi dealerships in the area. One other dealership had one we liked, however it was pretty far. We called Peoria Subaru and they, too, had one we liked with the same features we thought. The Peoria Subaru internet sales person, Miranda, said that they will match any other dealerships in the area by giving them the other dealership's invoice. We gave the other dealership's invoice to her and she compared that to the one they have in stock. She asked that if they can match it, if we could be there tomorrow. We said yes, and she said that they can and she will see us tomorrow. We went there with our 7 month old baby since we don't have anyone to babysit as we are new to the area. We were greeted by her and had us meet another sales person, Alan. He drove the Ascent over that we liked. When we got into the sales office, Alan and the manager said that they couldn't give us the Ascent for that same price because there were more options than compared the other dealership's invoice. We didn't know this, but Miranda told us that she could match that price for that vehicle and we wouldn't have come down to Peoria Subaru if it wasn't the case. They then haggled, with my trade-in and came down to a moderately lower number to meet in the middle and we were fine with it. We then went from the temporary sales office to the finance office. There, we met Pete (I think that's his name) and he was all over the place when it comes to the warranty and couldn't understand him, not because of his accent, but because he was all over the place with trying to sell us the warranty. This took almost 5 hours from driving into the lot to driving out of the lot with a new car while having a 7 month old baby. Our 7 month old did very well, but all of us were tired, hungry, and it was too long of an experience as Alan was very new to Subaru, the dealership was under construction and the sales office was in a temporary portable office. It took the longest when trading in my vehicle as we were just waiting, about an hour of doing nothing. After we had our new car in the garage, I decided to call other places about Subaru's warranty. It turns out Pete at Peoria Subaru wanted us to pay for the 'Gold' warranty for $3950. Other dealerships in the area were only charging $1650 for the same 10 year, 100k mile, $0 deductible warranty. That's insane and glad we didn't get Peoria Subaru's warranty and went elsewhere for it. All in all, we got the Ascent for a good price after their 'price match' mishap and a really good price for the warranty elsewhere. More

When we first walked in Megan introduced us to Alan Nestor our sales rep who made us feel welcomed. Alan right away showed us the Legacy we had inquired about and took us for a test drive and explained Nestor our sales rep who made us feel welcomed. I will tell you we had had horrible experiences with finance people in the past and were dreading this part of the purchase. Right away Troy made us feel comfortable and explained the financial part of the of purchase clearly and felt no pressure as we had in the past. Troy made our purchase enjoyable and because how we were treated would recommend Peoria Subaru to family and friends. Thanks Troy, Megan and Alan for an enjoyable experience!!! More
