I normally don’t write reviews, but I feel obligated to warn others about my experience with Pedder Jeep in Poway. From start to finish, the customer service was disappointing and unprofessional. I made it very clear that a scratch on the vehicle needed to be properly fixed before I would move forward with the purchase—it was a deal breaker for me. They assured me it would be taken care of, but the “repair” was done poorly and nowhere near the standard that was promised. It didn’t stop there. I was also told I would receive a second key fob. Not only did that never happen, but they had me drive 2 hours—twice—just to tell me they actually didn’t have it after all. That’s 4 hours of my time wasted because of misinformation and lack of accountability. To make matters worse, the first salesperson helping us was extremely unprofessional. He left in the middle of finalizing paperwork, claiming he needed to help a stranded customer, but another employee told us he was actually leaving to meet his girlfriend. That level of dishonesty and lack of professionalism is unacceptable, especially during such an important transaction. Overall, this dealership showed a pattern of poor communication, broken promises, and disregard for the customer’s time. I strongly recommend thinking twice before doing business here. More

I recently purchased a new Ram 3500 Mega Cab from Pedder Dodge of Poway after comparing a few similarly optioned trucks in the area. The process started with a phone call to the dealership, where I was connected with Justin. He was pleasant over the phone and confirmed that the truck I wanted was available. I let him know I’d be there within 30 minutes, and he said that was no problem. However, when I arrived, Justin was nowhere to be found. Instead, I was handed off to a different salesman named Albert. Unfortunately, Albert didn’t seem very familiar with trucks or pricing. Maybe he was new, maybe trucks just aren’t his thing, or maybe no one expected I’d actually show up ready to buy. I know these trucks well, but I still expected at least a basic understanding from the salesperson. Even my 9-year-old daughter chuckled at some of his responses. To be honest, it felt like his only job was to hand me the keys and disappear. That said, I appreciated that he wasn’t pushy, which was a nice change. The next morning, I received a follow-up call, not from Albert or Justin, but someone else, asking when I’d be coming back in. I already planned to return, so the timing worked. This time, I met Justin in person. Again, he was polite, but it still baffles me how salespeople now seem to have no authority when it comes to pricing. Everything had to go through a manager. If that’s the case, it makes you question the point of having a salesperson in the first place. Eventually, we landed on a price I was comfortable with and moved into finance. My wife and I met with Arturo and made it clear we wouldn’t be finalizing the deal that Sunday since our bank was closed and the dealership couldn’t match their interest rate. We let them know we’d be returning Monday to wrap things up. Despite this, we spent over an hour with Arturo going through paperwork and signing contracts. During that time, he repeatedly tried to upsell us on packages and kept pushing us to take the truck home that day. We eventually agreed to a prepaid maintenance plan, which didn’t seem bad until we later found out it could only be used at their dealership. Toyota, by comparison, offers a nationwide program. That was disappointing. The real issue came the next day. We returned Monday and, as mentioned, we ended up putting more down. My wife dropped me off and went to pick up our kids, only for me to be told she had to come back and re-sign paperwork due to the increased down payment. This was frustrating, especially since Arturo had told us the day before that it wouldn’t be an issue. It was a waste of time and threw off our family’s schedule, even though we had been very clear about our intentions. Once the paperwork was re-signed, I was left waiting in the showroom with no salesperson in sight, including Justin. Arturo eventually found someone, possibly Darryl, to help me finish the delivery. I was seated at what I think was the same desk Albert had used on Saturday. While waiting, I noticed a pair of nail clippers and a pile of fingernail clippings sitting out on the desk. Not exactly professional, and definitely not something you expect at a car dealership. After about 40 minutes of waiting, the truck was finally brought out. It clearly hadn’t been prepped over the weekend or that morning. The salesperson asked if I had any questions and encouraged me to leave a good review, but by that point I was just ready to leave. When I got the truck home, I noticed the roof was still covered in a thick layer of dust and the interior screens also had a fine layer of dust. For a truck with a six-figure price tag, I expected at the very least a proper wash and detail. In total, I interacted with at least three different salespeople, possibly four, a manager, and a finance guy just to buy one truck. The vehicle itself is great, but the overall experience was disorganized, impersonal, and not at all refined. More

The entire process was smooth and transparent, from test-driving to financing. I especially appreciated how upfront they were about pricing and how they worked with me to get the best possible deal. The dealership was clean, organized, and overall had a great vibe. The test drive was smooth, and Max was patient, answering all my questions and providing valuable insights about the vehicle's performance and technology. Once I decided on the model, the financing process was quick and easy. The dealership offered me competitive rates, and Justin worked closely with me to find a payment plan that suited my budget. What really stood out was the no-pressure atmosphere. I never felt rushed or pushed into making a decision.
