Brought car in for taillight glass replacement. Sloppy body shop left paint dust on both front floor mats and Paint fingerprints on door post. Terrible customer service, upsell unecessary work, expensive Made an appointment for 9:30AM. We planned on waiting but were told it would take 2 hours so we took the loaner as suggested. The person who lent us the car was surly and threatening and treated us though we were not really entitled to a loaner and admonished us that we would be stiffly penalized if we returned it without filling the tank "even if we only went home and back". I filled it and it took 3/4 gal for 9 miles use. I was told the bill would probably be around $240 for an oil change and a possible tire repair. When questioned, I was told it was due for a "cabin air filter" which I assumed they had checked against my service record. It turns out it was replaced the last service I had done. We parked nearby and took a long walk and called about 2-1/2 hours later and asked if they had it done. No. Have you started it yet? "We're looking at it." We went to get it but they had started by the time we got there and took another 2 hours and texted us trying to sell more service including a brake fluid flush for $133 that was done at the last service by another dealer for $99.. When we picked it up, I spoke with the service manager who made excuses or rationalized every one of our complaints. He displayed absolutely no contrition or even empathy. When I sad we we would not be returning he said, "Fine". When asked how our experience was by the cashier, we told her and she discounted the bill 10% - a nice gesture but too little too late. Update: I received a call from John Reinan this afternoon - the service manager. He apologized and was appalled by the experience we had. He was very personable and offered a complimentary service to demonstrate that they could do better. When I asked to talk to the manager when we were there, they would have been much better served if it had been him. Clearly it was not him that I did have the hopeless conversation with. More
