I thought the overall process was fine. I don't think I got a great deal but pretty average based on the rest of the market. I am happy with the purchase, salesman was professional. After the sale was very good when I had questions so all good on those fronts. I do however have negative feedback on the finance guy and the upselling attempt on additional vehicle coverage. I found him to be very shady with his pitch. 1. He asked if I wanted the coverage and stated my monthly payment vs the actual price. This is an old school sales tactic that most people find deceitful, I quickly did the math in my head which came out to 6k! but I wanted him to say it out loud and asked how much does it cost? He doubled down acting like he did not know and stated again the montly cost of my car+the coverage. After asking several times he finally provided the actual absurd price. I balked and requested information on the coverage so I can review and research and he immediately drops the price a substantial amount ( 50%? )maybe, I can recall - after this went on for several minutes of him trying to close, he finally moved on. This is a very bad practice from Classic Honda, while I completely understand how important it is to unlock new revenue streams why are you treating us like we are unintelligent and instead of providing the price and cost in a forthcoming manner attempting to just sneak it in to the monthly payment? STOP DOING THIS. Poor look! This is why people have negative POVs of car dealerships! More
