Not sure why this survey has Kia Car Pros, Huntington Beach listed as I received service at their Glendale location. I had made an 11am appt. to address a recall. I was told the recall would involve a so Beach listed as I received service at their Glendale location. I had made an 11am appt. to address a recall. I was told the recall would involve a software update and should not take long, therefore I did not arrange a ride home nor did I plan to leave it there for more than an hour. I arrived a few minutes before 11am and was greeted by a polite employee who took my info and soon after told me he had no record of my appointment, but said they could take care of it . He said it would take about an hour, but told me it would be ready in 3 hours? I arrived back at the dealer at 2pm expecting my car. I was told they were waiting to hear from the technicians? After about 10 minutes of waiting I walked out to the lot and saw my car sitting there parked. I went back inside and spoke to the same service writer and told him either my car is completed and just sitting there, or they had not begun the work. He said he would text me as soon as it was ready. After about 15 more minutes I saw the original service guy who had received my car. I asked if he could help me get my car as it has been sitting there for at least 20 minutes but I was told I needed to wait for paperwork I believe? Another 15 minutes passed and I was told I could now go to the cashier and check out(though there was no charge). From this point I was able to leave in 5 minutes. Like most people, I had plenty things on my "to do" list for the day which I was unable to do during this 4 hour period of time. Kia Car Pros seemed to be very relaxed, and in no hurry to return my car to me. Had I been warned about the excessive amount of time they would need, or had they honored my appointment, it would not have been near as irritating. Has anyone noticed that it is also the rare business that will bother to apologize when it is their oversight that cause a problem? The tech acted as if they had done me a favor by taking my car in supposedly "without an appointment". More
