Fast service, everyone was really helpful and friendly. Appreciated the team being upfront about costs of service without pressure to complete things that weren’t an immediate issue. I said no because it's a new car (bought in May) and I remember the manual said to change the oil when the indicator says so because it's a hybrid car. She asked "Are you sure? it's recommended to change oil every 5 months." I said "not today". Then she didn't mention it anymore. However, when I picked up my car, she gave me an invoice for the oil change. I said I didn't ask for it. She said she thought I wanted to do it. Even if she misunderstood me, during the check-in process, she didn't show me any paperwork about the oil change (I didn't even know the charge for oil change). When I went home, I double-checked my manual. I was right, the oil change should be done when the indicator light is on. The interval shouldn't exceed 12 months or 10K miles. I bought my car in the middle of May. It's only 4.5 months with a little over 5000 milage. And I paid almost $100 for the oil change. I used their web site to ask how to file a complaint and request a refund. I was told a manager would follow up after I left my name/email/phone number. But so far, no one contacted me. My concern is first the employees there may not be knowledgable about the cars. The information she said about the oil change was not correct. Second, the paperwork routine has some issues. The customers should be clear about what services they get and how much they need to pay ahead of time. The car owners have to give permission to proceed with the service. I have been to multiple dealers for different services and I thought it was a norm everywhere. But this place seems to be an exception. More
