Sal in the service department treated me unprofessionally, verbally accosted me and conducted himself with no restraint with regards to his anger. He approved body work performed. When I s unprofessionally, verbally accosted me and conducted himself with no restraint with regards to his anger. He approved body work performed. When I showed him the many damages their service department created and the poor body work which included paint drips and multiple dull spots, he said in a condescending voice “Looks like we are Never going to get rid of you”. I was very offended after spending $32,000+ on a car I just purchased. They had possession of my car from January 30th to February 15th, over 2 weeks. He was very rude and treated me as a Picky customer. Is it too much to ask that my car doesn’t get damaged while they have possession of it? There are scratches on the front of car, scratches in the leather, bird droppings, leaves on the seats including paint on the front passenger side armrest and grease on the seat. There is no quality control or pride at this Honda of Freehold location. I told Sal I wanted to speak to his manager. He said that he doesn’t have to deal with me. Sal gets paid by Honda to do his job, not offend a polite paying customer and accuse the customer for damages that did not exist prior to Honda’s possession. After I asked to speak to his manager, he aggressively ran across his office, pulling down his mask and started yelling in my face, “I am a Man” several times repeatedly very loudly. Very ghetto behavior! Who hires such people to be in service? He should be fired. General Manager at this location has not returned my calls. He is obviously too busy to handle problems that his customers face with his aggressive and out of control employees. More

I studied so hard to learn how to buy a used car. Last time I bought one was 10 years ago, and dealers do this every day, so they have a lot more experience at car dealing. Before you go, know what you wa time I bought one was 10 years ago, and dealers do this every day, so they have a lot more experience at car dealing. Before you go, know what you want, check with the BBB, know the value of your trade-in (if applicable), and arrange to have your mechanic look over the vehicle before buying it. Don't have one? Get an independent one, even if the dealer says the vehicle is Pre-Certified. Sometimes when a car sits on the lot for a long time (say 2 years), stuff may have deteriorated (e.g. wipers). Be prepared to spend hours, and if you feel pressured at any point, take a break and come back. Sadly, some use "alternative facts." (e.g. They DO refer to Kelley Blue Book for car values.) Do your due diligence. It's YOUR MONEY. Get referrals from friends who they use at which dealerships. I rated Honda of Freehold 3/5 stars because the salesman displayed despicable behavior, but he has since apologized. Manager Peter and Administrator Amir wanted me to be happy as a customer, so they provided additional services for the car. Dan in the Finance Department was very pleasant and didn't pressure me to take out a loan with them after I declined their interest rate. Know how you will finance your car before you go. If they have a better rate than what you have found, then it's good to have an option. READ EVERYTHING VERY CAREFULLY before you sign. I found the bottom line stayed the same, but line items had been altered from what was discussed with Manager Steve at Damian's desk. I learned some lessons and hope to remember them the next time I buy a car. Bottom line: I got the car I wanted, and Manager Peter and Administrator Amir made me feel that I was a very valued customer. More

Started out nice, but ended badly! Read the entire review. Busy place! But they were good to work with and we made a good deal. Fair price on trade-in using carfax numbers. Sharalynn was good with review. Busy place! But they were good to work with and we made a good deal. Fair price on trade-in using carfax numbers. Sharalynn was good with the follow up regarding the scheduling of the appointment. Our designated sales person Damian was very comfortable to work with as he was no pressure, truthful and direct. I would definitely buy another car there. Well not NOW, read update below! Update 11/9/20 - I was contacted by the bank who financed my trade in today as the small amount remaining was not paid off yet and the bank was looking for payment. My wife called the finance department and left a message. I was just steaming about this as it effects our credit rating. Here we were thinking this deal is done. I called and asked for the General Manager of the dealership and was told I would receive a return call. Ed from the sales department called me up and ask what was wrong and I briefly explained that my trade-in was not paid off from a deal that was done on 10/3/20. I asked to speak to the highest ranking member of management and still wanted to do this. If the company was not going to be truthful in their deals and not pay off notes on trade-in I would take the F***ing hondas back. Ed hung up on me. I then called the General Sales manager Amir and explained my situation and that I am extremely unhappy about this and wanted to speak to the General Manager of the dealership and he say that he was not there. I asked if he could look into this issue in the meantime, which he agreed to do. I explained that I talked with Ed, but Ed hung up on our conversation. Amir explained that Ed hung up because I used a curse word (I said F***ing hondas) and that I should not disrespect Ed by using profanity. Since I didn't swear at Ed and used it as an expression of frustration, I thought this was a little over sensitive as he apparently took it personally, but OK. Amir did get back to me to explain a check went in mail on 11/4/20. I asked Amir if the deal was completed on 10/3/20, why would it be acceptable to send a check over a month later! He said he didn't know. As of 11/10/20 the bank has not received the check. I told Amir that I still wanted to talk to the GM and that I wasn't joking about returning the Hondas. Interesting points * No return call from finance department * No return call from the GM of dealership * No one apologized that this happened * No sense of urgency about this situation made me feel that this was a common occurrence. Checking with the bank regularly to see when and if a payoff check comes to payoff the balance. If not, will start legal action. Don't trust this dealership to payoff your trade-in. NOT HAPPY WITH THIS DEALERSHIP AND WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER CAR FROM THEM REGARDLESS OF THE RESPONSE NOW. BBB rating 1 star out of 5 stars. Many integrity issues at this dealership. More
