Stay away from Gettel of Charlotte County. I can't comment on the sales department, but the service department charges outrageous fees for repairs. They quoted me over $3,600 to replace an evaporator core (AC). Local AC shop replaced the evaporator core with a Hyundai factory part for $1,600. When I questioned the service manager and asked him to break down the parts and labor, he said they charge 11hrs to do this repair. Interestingly the called me at 12pm and said if I wanted the work done, they'd have it done by 5. Not sure how they get 11 hours when there were only 5 hours left in the work day. This is a one man job. Other shops in the area all quoted between 1,400 and 1,600. Even a different Hyundai dealer quoted far less than Gettel. I've read quite a few similar "negative" experiences with Gettel's service department. My suggestion, STAY FAR AWAY from them. I've used Venice Hyundai in the past and they have been very good to work with. My mistake trying to keep the business local. More
