Alderman Automotive sold me a vehicle that almost
immediately became a serious and expensive problem. Before buying, I made clear that reliability was my top concern because I needed dependable trans

I specifically raised that concern, especially because I was at the dealership dealing with my prior vehicle’s engine and transmission failure. I was told about a cosmetic issue, but nothing that fairly conveyed the degree of mechanical risk involved. Within two weeks, the car was inoperable. Instead of purchasing reliable transportation, I was left with major repair costs, weeks of disruption, and a vehicle that has spent more time in shops than with me.
What makes this worse is that Alderman operates as both a dealership and a service center, which made its assurances seem more trustworthy. That trust was undeserved. They inspected my prior vehicle, charged me more for that inspection than they later offered me for the trade-in, and then sold me another vehicle despite my clear emphasis on avoiding exactly this kind of problem. Once the defects became apparent, they did not take meaningful responsibility and left me to deal with the consequences. Between the misleading sale, the lack of transparency, and the poor post-sale response, this has been the worst consumer experience I have had. I would not trust this dealership again and would urge anyone considering doing business with them to be extremely cautious.

When you purchased the 2018 Honda Accord, the vehicle was sold as a used vehicle and was inspected prior to sale. At the time of purchase, you also elected to cancel the extended warranty that was originally available with the vehicle.
Several weeks after taking delivery, you brought the vehicle to a Honda dealership, who provided you with a repair estimate and asked us to cover the cost. While we understand that unexpected repairs are frustrating, the vehicle was not under warranty after the cancellation, and the estimate you provided was significantly higher than what our service department would typically expect for the items listed.
As both a sales and service dealership, we do take reliability concerns seriously and strive to be transparent with every customer during the purchase process. However, with any pre-owned vehicle, future mechanical issues can occur despite inspections and normal due diligence.
We did review your concerns and responded to you directly regarding the request for repair coverage.

When we got the SUV it was on empty. Literally 2 miles left of fuel. A service maintenance light came on within 20 miles. Just shows a lack of care for you customers.
