A post-purchase inspection at University Volkswagen (Invoice #1192221) officially confirmed that the rear window is a poorly fitted, shifted aftermarket replacement with visible glue running down the body. Worse, the dealership completely failed to remediate the structural debris from the window break, leaving loose, razor-sharp glass shards scattered inside the hatch siding and trim panels. When confronted with the official VW diagnostic report, finance manager Bari verbally refused to fix the hazard or cover an OEM replacement to restore the car to factory standards, claiming they have "no obligation" to disclose glass damage. He has repeatedly evaded written communication, only calling over the phone to deny liability once legal action was threatened. I have officially filed consumer protection and dealer licensing complaints with the Washington State Attorney General and the WA Department of Licensing, and am initiating Small Claims proceedings for the $1,912.93 required for proper OEM glass replacement, safety cleanup, and ruined custom ceramic tinting. Avoid this dealership if you expect transparency or safety. More

The Etchwise coverage was built in as if I had no option of whether or not to purchase it. I ended up cancelling the Etchwise protection and finally got a refund. I am not at all likely to recommend 405 Motors to anyone as a result of the above. I thought you might like to know what my opinion is of my experience, since you boast one of the best buying experiences. More
