Here's the bott EDIT 29 DEC 2019: BOTTOM LINE: DO NOT BUY FROM SUNTRUP IF YOU'RE NOT A MISSOURI RESIDENT. I leased our new car in early-October. Here's the bottom line: I am an out-of-state buyer. The dealership was supposed to set me up with license plates for the state of Florida. I still don't have licence plates. It's a few days away from the year 2020. It took them at least a month to get the lease started up. That was the initial reason I didn't have plates. Now I hear it's the fault of the titling clerk. The salesperson was kind enough to get me set up with dealer plates that lasted through December. So those will expire in a few days. I'm just sort of flabbergasted by how much of an absolute mess this is. And here's the thing, Suntrup's communication is among the worst. I can't get in touch with a manager or an owner, no matter what I try to do. I have literally left upwards of 6 voicemails for the sales manager, sent plenty of emails, and been transferred to voicemail at least a dozen times. If I didn't know any better I'd think I was being treated this way on purpose. I don't know what Sales Manager Beau Schwartz does, but I can tell you what he doesn't do: return phone calls, returns emails, manages sales. What's left after that I'm not sure. Any self-respecting manager would have intervened by now and personally offered their apologies for such a poor experience. I'm off to email Volkswagen Corporate immediately after this review. Once the vehicle is once again out of commission due to non-registration (two days), I'll have little recourse but to open an arbitration session so I can finally get treated right. Original review: Blaze was able to find me what was a nationally difficult to find car. Not only that, but he got me a great price and kept in constant communication while we worked through some of the finer points. I couldn’t find the car in Tampa, so Blaze set me up for success. It’s a surprise gift for the wife. Super thankful for his help! More

No time wasted When my wife and showed up to Subtrup with the plan to find our new car, we weren’t sure how easily it would go, how quickly, how many surprises there When my wife and showed up to Subtrup with the plan to find our new car, we weren’t sure how easily it would go, how quickly, how many surprises there would be. We were approached by Lucas as soon as we got there and we didn’t waste any time telling him what we wanted (VW Atlas) and expected. He took the proper notes and immediately started searching for the vehicle we were looking for! It took less than a few weeks to find the vehicle we want, get us the price we want, reasonably finance the car, and drive it away. Not to mention in the time waiting for our new car to deliver, they let us test a different Volkswagen atlas for the weekend! It was a pleasure working with Lucas, and the team there and would surely feel good about going back. More

No contact and LOTS of misinformation I cannot reiterate how embarrassed I am to say I bought a vehicle from this dealership. I have had constant problems from the moment I said I was inte I cannot reiterate how embarrassed I am to say I bought a vehicle from this dealership. I have had constant problems from the moment I said I was interested in buying. The only way I was able to get in contact with Beau was physically going into the dealership. He admitted he received my missed call/voicemail, but denied receiving emails (we sent him 2). When asked why he never returned my call, *blank stare*. The whole issue was with a loaner car when we had maintenance done - that was promised to us when we bought the car. Madeline would not email back, but called us from her personal cellphone and accused us of writing a bad review about her. She said the only way we'd get a loaner is if we took down the review. Needless to say, I had to take off work to sit in the service department for over an hour because of this terrible customer service. Beau never once apologized for me and my spouse having to take time off work to deal with this. He never apologized for the unprofessional customer service when we bought the vehicle and he couldn't give us actual information on if the service loan program ACTUALLY ceased to exist. I requested a new sales person to deal with for future. When I asked Beau about future loaners he said, "It depends." Then a little further into the conversation, "Sales reps get 2 vouchers a month to give to customers". Then further into the conversation, "Just give the sales rep a week's notice and they can get you a loaner". So nothing was ever resolved, no accurate information was given to me, no apology. The only thing I received from Beau was blank stares and that my review was "mean". Fix your customer service and then maybe I'll think of referring customers. I am appalled dealerships have no accountability for how they treat people! More

Superb Car Buying Experience! I'll start off by saying that I will very likely be purchasing another vehicle from Suntrup VW in the future. This must have been my lucky day because I'll start off by saying that I will very likely be purchasing another vehicle from Suntrup VW in the future. This must have been my lucky day because as soon as I walked into the dealership for my appointment, Sarah knew exactly who I was, had my information pulled up in the system and was ready to initiate the process. I stated where I needed to be with my trade and she was very confident that she could make the deal happen. Unlike other dealerships where the salesperson presents an obscene offer then pretends to go back and forth to the manager to get you a slightly better deal, Sarah offered me the best deal from the start without wasting my time. Needless to say, it was better than anticipated and I drove away in my new Golf R a very happy guy. It was also great catching up with Beau Schwartz, who sold me the first vehicle I purchased from Suntrup eight years ago. More
