When the opportunity to purchase a Civic type R at MSRP came up, I was the first person he called, texted, emailed and probably even sent smoke signals. I have been driving Hondas for a long time, my first new car was a 1995 Civic EX w/ABS which I owned for almost 14 years. I traded it in for a 4 year old 2004 Civic Si, which I still have. He remembered me coming to him about the petition to bring the Civic type R to North America, which I gladly signed, I even went so far as to send a rather long email to Koichi Kondo himself, who at the time I think was the president of North American sales. Having know how much I wanted one, but being discouraged by the mark ups. He thought of me first, and I am very grateful. I am now the proud owner of #16598. And as indicated by my past history, I plan on enjoying it for a long time. There is a simple reason for Bert being awarded by Honda as a great salesman, it's not because he's good at selling cars. It's because he is a genuinely good person, he cares more about the customer than the sale and that is very easy to see. Again, Thank you Bert. Sincerely John Olson More
