These people are shady. They hide warranties in their contract and when you tell them to take it off they bake it into the sales price of the new contract. It has been over 3 weeks and they still have not registered my vehicle. On top of that they lied and told me it was registered. These guys will look for anyway to screw you over. They are bad business so be prepared to have to file reports and sue them. You can and should report to the attorney general and Kia. More

My KIA had a broken tail light on its spoiler. I went to NorthStar Kia Service Center to fix it. Upon inspection I was quoted $773 to replace the LED light assembly. My decision was to go ahead wi I went to NorthStar Kia Service Center to fix it. Upon inspection I was quoted $773 to replace the LED light assembly. My decision was to go ahead with the replacement and this part was ordered from their NorthStar KIA parts department. After two days, the ordered part did not come in as promised and I told the service rep to cancel the order because I wanted to shop around at other KIA service centers. Northstar told me that they will cancel the order but charge a restocking fee of 25%. This seemed like an excessive rate for a part that was, in fact, not in stock and had not come in yet. It would have been unacceptable to pay $193 and get absolutely nothing in return and hence I decided to go through with the transaction. The whole experience was a bit unpleasant as I felt put ‘on the hook’ for the part by being told to pay a hefty restocking fee for a part that was not in stock to begin with. Northstar should focus more on the customer experience by informing their customers of fees associated with parts ordering. More
