I decided I wanted to upgrade my car from a 2019 Chevy
Equinox to a 2025 Equinox. I started looking in my city and surrounding areas and found nothing that I was looking for that caught my eye, except for
Equinox to a 2025 Equinox. I started looking in my city and surrounding areas and found nothing that I was looking for that caught my eye, except for one car at a dealership in my neighborhood. It had everything I wanted but one particular package. It was on sale for $2,000 off. By the time, my trade in ($12,000) was calculated in, and all the ridiculous add ons, it was back up to full price and then some! I told them I would have to think about it. Meanwhile, I got on the Chevy website and designed my car. When I was finished it told me that there was a perfect match at James Wood in Decatur, TX. I went to their webpage and there it was! It was priced lower than the dealership by my house but was on sale for $3,000 off! Billy Balderas was the salesman at James Wood that I dealt with. Billy was great from the beginning. He didn’t try to tack on additional ad ons to the price like other dealerships tried to do. He gave me a blind estimate on my trade ($13,000) and even gave me more money when he saw my vehicle. While he was working up the quote to take to my credit union, Billy called me and asked me if I wanted to add something. I asked him if I needed it, and he said, “only if I want it”. The other guy at the other dealership told me I needed it and also tried to charge me for tinting that was already on the car and wheel locks that I did not need. Billy did none of that! He gave me a straight out the door price that the other dealership could not beat. I drove from Oklahoma City to Decatur to purchase the car and I will do it again for my next car purchase. Billy and everyone there treated me with dignity and respect. They didn’t see me as a “woman” buying a car, he saw me as “customer” buying a car. They truly earned my business and I will recommend anyone to James Wood even if it means taking a road trip to Decatur, TX.
