The Best Car Buying Experience! The two biggest car buying concerns for me were price and process. I was determined not to over-pay for the vehicle. I did my homework and researched The two biggest car buying concerns for me were price and process. I was determined not to over-pay for the vehicle. I did my homework and researched prices on the internet, Edmunds, and Consumer Reports. I also thoroughly researched the value of my trade-in, a 2016 Ford Explorer XLT. I had been to 4 dealerships prior to going to Colonial Ford on Maple Street in Marlborough. I had what I thought was a good deal lined up at another Ford Dealership and I didn’t think that Colonial could match their price. I was wrong! Colonial sold me the new car for less and they gave me the most money for my trade-in vehicle! I was pleasantly surprised and glad that I stopped there. The process was absolutely seamless. I drove away in the newly registered and insured 2020 Platinum Ford Explorer on the same day that we made the deal. The dealership took care of everything, including getting me new plates. Mark Babineau was great to deal with. He answered all of my questions and helped speed the sales process through the “red tape.” The salesman was great too. He went over the vehicle with me and demonstrated the key features. The Platinum Explorer is loaded with technology features and he explained all of those to me. He connected my cell phone to the vehicle and set up the Android App. He also set up Ford Link for me. The guys who work at this dealership are not your “typical” car salesmen. They are professionals and they don’t the traditional sales tactics “what can we go do get you to buy the car today…I have to check with the manager, etc…” They weren’t pushy at all. They contacted me after the sale to make sure that everything was ok and to see how I liked the vehicle. – That’s commendable because they already made the sale and there was nothing in it for them to follow up with me. That was such a nice touch – to see if I had any questions or problems with the new car. You cannot go wrong with this dealership! Brian More

They overcharged me and put the wrong part in my van I purchased a used 2015 t350 Transit extended high roof of van. The transmission had a vibration so the service department decided I should get a new I purchased a used 2015 t350 Transit extended high roof of van. The transmission had a vibration so the service department decided I should get a new one because the warranty would cover most of it. I was given the option of paying $700 more for a remanufactured transmission or a used transmission with $36,000 mi. I paid the extra money for the remanufactured transmission and since day one it slipped out of gear and shifted really hard. they pulled the old transmission out of my van waiting for them no one to come in which was the wrong transmission to begin with and would not bolt in properly. So they have the reorder the transmission and I was stuck another couple days without my work van. So I ended up losing my transportation for work for a week. I had to drive in every day and pull different tools out of the van as I needed them to do different aspects of my construction job. when I express how angry I was with Bob in the service department all he could tell me was well that's life and things happen. one can only wonder how people can treat customers that way and still have a job. Needless to say his best solution was so offering me a minivan which wouldn't even how is half of my tools. And then he finally found a full size van for me. what were the full size van do for me anyhow when it would take me 2 hours to unload my van and put all my tools in a different van and then have to do it all over again? and I was wondering why I never got an email for a review from Ford on this service. It took weeks for this to show up in my inbox. One can only imagine why. And I still have to take the van back for them to look at it and more than likely be charged for something that should have been put in right the first time. But we will see how they deal with it. overall I would not recommend anyone getting worked on they are based on this experience. when something goes wrong it all comes down to who can cover their butt the best with paperwork. And the customer gets put last. They said of them trying to fix the situation immediately they had to investigate what happened and why and take it from there and I was put out another couple days because of that alone. More
