Short story: In early March I dropped my car off at Lithia for some Warranty Repairs. 42 weeks + 1 day later those repairs still haven’t been completed and I have finally given up the fight of trying t Lithia for some Warranty Repairs. 42 weeks + 1 day later those repairs still haven’t been completed and I have finally given up the fight of trying to make it happen. A combined 161 days in the shop and when I picked up my car Lithia couldn’t even bother to pretend that it had done anything but sit in the lot. Not only did they opt not to brush the snow off, they didn’t even close the driver window. It was a pointed slap in the face to let me know I got screwed and there’s nothing I can do about it. ————— Highlights; - Learning from Kenny Ellert that Lithia Service Department’s capacity to diagnose a problem begins and ends at checking for codes. If there’s no code, there’s no problem to fix. - Getting ignored when calling or texting for status updates - After I stopped receiving responses going into the Service Center and having Kenny tell me they couldn’t recreate the problem last time I brought it in, so when I brought it back 5 weeks prior nobody had even looked at it. - I sent 5 videos showing the problem step by step. Kenny told me the repair technicians weren’t going to watch them. I offered to show him in the parking lot right then and he declined. - Being treated like a Karen for expecting Lithia to fulfill the terms of the warranty they pressured me into buying in the first place. Eye rolls. I walked in once and had Tony Allen shout back to Kenny “Hey your buddy is back” and then scoff. - My warranty came with a replacement key fob. When Tony Allen gave it to me it was missing the manual key piece. When I pointed it out he became clearly annoyed and said it’d be $39 to have it made. I declined and had someone else do it for free later, after clarifying that wasn’t even the right price quote he just made up a number assuming I wouldn’t pay it - Giving a 40 minute notice I was heading over to pick up my car because I’m over paying for rentals and give up. When it was pulled around there was over a foot of snow on top of it and the window was open letting more snow on the driver’s seat and door - Contacting Lithia Corporate for help and having them do literally nothing except copying and pasting what I wrote to the Sevice Center Manager and then copying and pasting his response to me - I received a follow up survey via email asking if I was fully satisfied. I obviously chose “no” and then the next screen said someone would reach out to me shortly for more information and to make it right. Nobody did because Service Commitments mean literally nothing to Lithia of South Anchorage or Lithia Corporate More
