These Dipsticks. Where do I begin. Today, Thursday, January 22nd, 2015 I went to Jeff Belzers in Lakeville. How long do you think an oil change should take? Certainly Where do I begin. Today, Thursday, January 22nd, 2015 I went to Jeff Belzers in Lakeville. How long do you think an oil change should take? Certainly not 3 hours. This was my experience today at Jeff Belzers in Lakeville, MN. It began with me sitting in the waiting room waiting for my routine oil change to be completed. One of the service advisors walk up to me and told me there was a problem, the problem was that they had broken my oil dipstick and it needed to be replaced. He then goes on to tell me that since it was my first time getting service there that they would not cover the cost and that I would have to cover the cost for a new one. He then states that it is going to be about 45 minutes until they an get a new dipstick from Burnsville. This was starting to get on my nerves because an oil change that should not have taken more than 30 minutes was now going to take an hour. Well another hour beyond that goes by and I do not hear from any Serviceman or any of the Techs. Then they tell me that they had to get one of their higher techs to look at it and get the dipstick out. So in that hour they accomplished very little that hour. They are now going to charge me for the labor for the tech to get the the dipstick out, which I had to pay $68.50 for the cost of the Technician labor. Another hour goes by and the Serviceman walks in and says everything is all done and it was time for me to check out. The total cost of the routine oil change and all these dipsticks dealing with the dipstick was 121.60. This was outrageous, this was supposed to be just a normal oil change and nothing else. The dipstick was working fine a few days earlier when I had check my oil levels, I managed to get it out just fine, apparently these dipsticks had some issues. The Serviceman then offered to give me discount on the labor cost, which definitely helped, but it is still insane to think that they would charge me for their mistake. If a company were to make a mistake like this they should at least offer to cover the cost of the new part and the cost of the labor to fix it, not at Jeff Belzers in Lakeville, no sir. The level of service I had received today was very poor, solidifying my option to never return to Jeff Belzers in Lakeville again and telling everyone I know who is looking for a new car or maintenance on a car to avoid this place at all costs. This is THE POOREST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED AT ANY ESTABLISHMENT. Signed, Lost a customer, and with this service, potentially many more. More
