New Car department.Used Sales - iffy - so farservice is good

I went to the dealership to look at a specific used car on Friday. A new car salesperson came to assist and got the keys for the truck. He said he could get me in a new truck for the same price and asked me to come back, I asked if the price was negotiable on the used truck and he said he'd 'find out' and get back to me. Went back the following week and the new cars turned in to 1 with few options and a marginal price drop. Had my car appraised which took about 45 more minutes to get a bare bones auction price - then came the three people push for what a good deal the new car was.
Decided the new truck wasnt for me, called 7/12 at 10:20 am, spoke with the Used car manager as the new car salesman was not responsive. He said he would check on the hitch and get back to me in a few minutes. Called me back at 1pm and said he had a man in trying to buy it - he had made NO mention of this at 10:20. He said the financing was iffy and he'd call me back if it fell thru. He did not at 2:30 I called back and he said the other person had gotten his trade in and financing to work. No apologies, said the man had made the offer 10 minutes before I called, when asked why he didnt mention that at 10am, he had no answer.
No apologies, no offers to work with me, nothing.
Feel manipulated - disappointed - wanted to do business in the hometown.

april--I’m sorry that you are still unhappy with us. You have posted two negative reviews and think your sales experience was worth two stars? First, someone was trying to buy the truck before you even came into our facility and had left a deposit. We explained that to you over the phone on your first call. You called multi times inquiring to see if the truck was sold and you think we were misleading you? Why would we mislead you? We can only tell you so much about someone else’s deal. Every time you called naturally there would be something differently to tell you, we were waiting on decisions from our lenders. We had the truck sold to someone else, but it was not delivered yet. We must protect the customers privacy like we would protect yours. Customers privacy is our top concern and it is now the law. Once a price has been agreed upon there are other factors such as credit or financing, down payment and credit approvals that we will only discuss with the buyer. You think that we were lying? Why would we lie? Once our customer backed out of their deal we immediately called you and explained that the truck was available. We could have not called you? You had already bashed us on review sites, but no, we tried to do the right thing and call you because we knew you wanted the truck. You decided to buy the truck but wanted us to negotiate lower and lose money or give you thousands of dollars in adds because you thought we lied? What did we do wrong? We had the truck sold before you committed! Would you want us to sell a vehicle to someone else after you thought that you bought it? I don’t think so! Now you have gone to 4 different reputation sites and given us poor reviews. Not once but twice. And you still think that we are shady and you still don’t trust us. Very unfair, April.

Wow, I am a bit hit by this note from Marcus. Yes, I was upset and posted multiple negative reviews, its about the only recourse individuals have these days.
I told the GM, Chancey, after he apologized and tried hard to make things right, I'd give them a chance. Several of those reviews have been updated, not with glowing remarks but the statement that I did end up buying the car and we were working on a relationship. Apparently I didnt find this one or my update didnt get thru.
I'm not going to bother with rebukes and contradictions. Simply surprised to see this response in August after Marcus was polite and helpful when I went back in for service. My core problem with this experience was everything was my fault, my misunderstanding, not what can we do to help make it better - except thats exactly what Chancey said. And the only reason I gave them my business. Not for 1000's in savings - but for a simple apology.
