I went to Phillips Chevrolet shopping for a used British-style roadster convertible to enjoy as a toy for the summer. I had narrowed down my list of cars through internet research and headed three British-style roadster convertible to enjoy as a toy for the summer. I had narrowed down my list of cars through internet research and headed three hours across the state to look at five cars in the Chicago area. Phillips had the last car on my list - an '05 Mazda Miata. It took most of the day to see the other four cars scattered around the city, and we got to Phillips about an hour before the posted closing time. The car was in outstanding condition - far better than all others seen that day - and the price was very fair. Chris was excellent - very knowledgable about the car, very professional with negotiations. He did not behave like a stereotypical used car salesman, but acted more like a consultant trying to understand and meet our needs. There was no time pressure, no sales pressure, no deceptive song-and-dance. My wife and I were about the last ones out of the dealership that night, but we were never made to feel like we were causing anyone to stay late. Chris even recommended a good pizza place where we could grab a bite before taking a long trip home with our new car. Next time we're looking for a car, we'll check Phillips inventory first and save ourselves some time and effort. More

Well, being a previous Equinox owner, I was really was not planning to buy another Equinox (only because I do not like to buy the same car consecutively, not because there was anything wrong with the car) not planning to buy another Equinox (only because I do not like to buy the same car consecutively, not because there was anything wrong with the car), but, I walked out with a new one! Go figure. I was very impressed with Chris Smith and the amount of knowledge he had about the car. He also gave me some good options for getting the car I wanted without some of the extra cost. Everyone was very friendly and attentive and made sure I had a pleasant experience. I could not believe how much the Equinox has changed/improved since I bought my 2007. I love it! Thank you! More

Chris is an ethical and great man. What differentiates him from other car salesmen is that he holds very true to who he is as a person as opposed to doing whatever it takes to get a sale. I have had multiple dealings with Chris and I would recommend him to anyone that wants to get a car and not deal with the typical bs that comes along with it.
