Do not buy a car here. Placed a deposit and made an appt with Chris for 8/1 for the following Sat after my deposit. Drove 2 hrs for the appointment to test drive the car that I placed a deposit on. Get there, says our last name (Brown) on their white board with the car info and the date 8/1. I believe it was Richard said Chris was on a drive and would be back in 15 min. We walk around lot looking for the car, don't see it. Walk in and ask where the car was, HE SAYS WE SOLD IT!!! Said Chris called us. We have no missed calls. However, we have a dozen text and emails about the car and receipt of deposit. Apparently text, emails, or even a carrier pigeon wasn't an option to make sure we didn't waste our time driving 2 hrs. Said the deposit was sent back, however it was not showing being put back in our account. Waited a very long time for proof of the refunded deposit, which they couldn't provide at the time being a Saturday. Richard offered to fill my tank with gas for our wasted drive, no thanks. Asked if we had any interest in another car. Obviously not since we put a deposit on this one!!! Wouldn't even look into buying anything from this dealership now anyway. What's worse is this car was going to be my son's first car, who road with us and was so excited for this car. So watching our son get completely let down by a bunch of men was infuriating. I put a 2 star bc, I understand it's harder to remove a 2 star. And, Chris never once made an appearance. So, if you purchased a 2015 Ford Fusion from Fred Martin on Barberton week of 7/27, we had a deposit down, bc they also tried to say it was sold shortly before they took our deposit and they didn't know. Update: funny how I get an email today saying a refund has been started on 8/3. Which means they lied!!!! Money is still not in my account. More

The vehicle was unfortunately sold the evening before you placed your deposit, and due to a breakdown in our internal communication, your deposit was still accepted. While one team member attempted to call you when we realized the error, we completely failed by not following up with a text or email to prevent you from making the two-hour drive. We also apologize that your refund could not be processed until the following Monday due to weekend banking hours. We take full responsibility for this frustrating experience and the wasted trip, and we are addressing these operational failures with our staff to prevent situations like this from happening again. We again apologize and we thank you for time and for your review.

Chris sold me a used 2020 Jeep Cherokee last Nov. I bought it for my wife and she loves it. 10/10 I'm not comfortable with high pressure sales tactics at dealerships and have had a couple bad exper I bought it for my wife and she loves it. 10/10 I'm not comfortable with high pressure sales tactics at dealerships and have had a couple bad experiences at Fred Martin in the past. On your last visit, you had come in on a vehicle at our Arlington road store and were told this vehicle would be dropped off at our location for your to purchase. Due to a breakdown in our communication, we learned that vehicle had previously sold before your arrival. Our vehicles are sold on a first-come first-serve basis and are not typically held for customers without a deposit, however, we should have been more diligent in ensuring we could get you this vehicle and let you know the vehicle had sold prior to your arrival.
