In perfect 20/20 hindsight, I looked back and should have realized the pressure that was being put on me to close the sale at that moment. This will never happen to me again. I think a longer test drive perhaps overnight would’ve been a lot more conducive to Purchasing a vehicle. I am greatly disappointed in the gas mileage that I am receiving both in town and on the highway on this hybrid. The sticker said 23 town 24 highway so far the best I can get in town is about 18 and .0 and on the highway about 19.1. With the tank size being 18.2 gallons even if those mileages I should have a range of close to 350 miles. I have filled up a couple of times now and the highest mileage that I’ve seen so far is 280. It actually got 23 miles to the gallon range would’ve been well over 400 miles. Something is not doing Correctly. I’ve made a conscious effort to limit my accelerations to 2000 RPM so far in the first 400 miles. So far unless the gas mileage gets a lot better this thing is going to be a real dog on gas mileage. My main issue was getting to a fair price. I spoke to Claude and he said he’d do just that. The first offer was the sticker price with 0 discount, and only $20K for my car. I knew that based o I spoke to Claude and he said he’d do just that. The first offer was the sticker price with 0 discount, and only $20K for my car. I knew that based on the internet price he was $3k off. Then they tried to convince me that $20k was reasonable for my car even though I had a firm offer from Carmax for $26k, and we’d make it up on tax savings. I knew better than that, based on the Georgia tax rate. I’m pleased with the price I ended up with, and Claude was very knowledgeable regarding the vehicle. I just don’t think you should make the customer work that hard to get a fair price. More
